It is just impossible that Alistar best him if my character never exists.

"Complete the module and unlock an epic Darkspawn item in DA:O and Awakening"
and what do you think about this?????
I think that is the reason I will buy this DLC. Bioware knows I like epic items.
But why? You can simply recreate any item (unless it has some really unique looks) in the toolset.

wouldn't have bought it had it been just another run o the mill 1 hour adventure with the usual crew.

Think of this adventure as your adventure, but YOU were never around to take part. Dragon Age: Origins was always the tale of the Grey Warden you created and how he or she became the mightiest of Grey Wardens and stopped the Blight. This adventure takes place as if your Grey Warden had never existed.
It's a Wonderful Grey Warden's Life, then? Don't suppose we get an implacably soothing Fade Spirit showing us flashbacks where the Companions solve the quests without us? That would be neat.
Warden: "What? They can't preserve the Anvil of the Void, they just can't! Alistair, what are you thinking?"
Fade Spirit: "Without you there, Morrigan was able to talk him into preserving it."
Morrigan: "Anything to stop the Blight, Alistair. You know that. The Anvil is simply too powerful to destroy."
Alistair: "I... I guess you're right."
Morrigan: "Of course I'm right."
Warden: "No, don't listen to her! Ask her how she'd like it if she were the first one on the Anvil!"
Fade Spirit: "He cannot hear you."
Warden: "No!"
But I'm guessing... no.

No thanks. Why do they refuse to build on our character's story? Oh well, I'll wait for the next one.

It's like raping every fangirl's/fanboy's childhood. Slapping Alistair to death with Bann Teagan's arms.
If this option is available that would actually persuade me to get it.

Will he bring elves or werewolves? Will he bring mages or templars? Will there be golems?

hm. I'll get it and play it, will probably be fun. But what I *really* want is more story for my team. More reasons to stay immersed in the original storyline with the characters I've grown to love & hate. A new origin story, new places to visit, or new companion quests would make for a better DLC.
Or maybe new companions? As things stand, the current crop offer no surprises whatsoever.

If you choose to play Darkspawn Chronicles you can unlock 3 new achievements and, if you complete the story, you unlock the powerful new BlightBlood sword that you can use in Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age: Origins Awakening.
The Darkspawn Chronicles costs 400 BioWare or Microsoft points and will be available on May 18 for the PC and Xbox 360 and on the Playstation 3 with date to be announced shortly.
The AU idea and playing as a darkspawn concept are definitely intriguing (even though there exists a possibility that I just might have to kill that sexy Antivan bloke
Chris, can you just tell me one thing thou: will this DLC have the 1.03 patch as a prerequisite? Most likely it will be so (in which case I'm just going to have to wait until a patch to fix 1.03 will come abouts before I get this DLC... along with Awakening

That is one of the cheesiest tropes of all time. Right behind "It's actually a centuries old good ole boy network of think tankers that are controlling the world events!"

Yes, he might. I'm actually quite interested to see how he would be doing.

One of the screens is of darkspawn fighting a dwarf and some golems. So it looks like Alistair preserves the Anvil.

Then the Grey Wardens would never have made it to Denerim in the first place.A look at an alternate history: what if your character had died in the
Joining ceremony, and the Grey Wardens marched under Alistair's command
instead?
