Can't find that ogre entry but it says:

An ogre leads a second column of darkspawn, but their access to the palace district is blocked by a heavy gate. Open the gate from the other side so that you can join forces and ovverun the district.

Ah right that makes much more sense, shame he got raped by sten.

Hee hee! Maybe I was doing it wrong, but I always found Sten to be underwhelming in Origins. He acquits himself unusually well in Darkspawn Chronicles though. In fact, I found the battle with Sten to be harder than the final fight against  Alistair. I'm sorely tempted to replay Origins and give that qunari a chance to be more than just a mule...

Just beat Darkspawn Chronicles and the item will automatically appear in your character's inventory. Doesn't matter if it's a newly created character or not. It'll be in there from the start just like all of the promotional DLC.

Ah got ogre's keeper, just kept as an Emissary and just healed him, no problems.

Can the heroes win? for example you kill all your thralls and hide away while they get the archdemon

I gotta agree with this.  Sten seemed kinda weak in Origins (he always seem to die first when I put him on my team) but Sten literally obliterated my ogre, shriek, and nearly my vangard on the darkspawn chronicles...

This was FAR, FAR worse than Mothership Zeta for FO/3 IMO. BioWare should be ashamed of themselves with this pathetic excuse for a DLC. No dialogue, no new areas, just pure hack and slash. The sword is not even that powerful. Weaker than Starfang and weaker than Maric's sword when used with Callian's shield. Over just one poor pointless DLC IMO.

Sten really hurt in this DLC, so did Barkspawn. xD; I had more problems with them then I did with Alistair.

What saddens me is that I can't use Blightblood on my mage. Who's the only character I was actually gonna use it on. Would be pretty cool if they changed it, but oh well. I'll live I suppose. :/

POSSIBLE SPOILER

I just finished it and I must say, I found it funny how Leliana becomes Alistair's lover in this alternate timeline.

Is this true? Because I might have a thing for this pairing.

Ever so Slight Spoilers below :

Love the easter eggs in the market, at the entrance to the fort, and on the battlements. Anyone else spot these?

I must have gone through too quickly to notice any easter eggs. Gonna have to pay attention the second time while babysitting my ogre.

I did like Dog's new name and the fact that Oghren was leading a band of drunks to Denerims defense.

We are pleased to announce the next Dragon Age: Origins downloadable content pack - The Darkspawn Chronicles.

You now fight as the Darkspawn! The city of Denerim, jewel of Ferelden, girds itself for war. As a hurlock vanguard, you alone hold the power to make thralls of your fellow darkspawn and drive them into the heat of battle. Heed the archdemon's call--Denerim must burn!

You can read more about the Darkspawn Chronicles and see screenshots here: http://dragonage.bioware.com/addon/. There will be a video added to the page tomorrow after it goes live on Gamespot later today. Make sure you check out Gamespot around 5pm PST today for your first look.

You got to be joking seriously...So I guess now the character/s we all made are redundant considering we cannot even go back to the original locations after the debacle when you guys brought out Awakening.

Yep, the sense of grief in his face, when he looks at her dead carcass, before he inevitably gets stabbed by the Vanguard. Oh and of course this appears in the codex "Leliana was a lay sister of the Chantry. In a vision, the Maker urged her to leave the cloister and battle the Blight. Her skill at archery, evidence of a surprising past, brought her to the attention of the Grey Warden named Alistair. She soon joined him as an ally-- and, rumor says, a lover".

Just heard something floating around, max approval for all thrall types, seems viable.

I too cannot seem to find the download for the PC version of this DLC, but I assume it isn't out for us yet, so I'll just wait.

I do not think that the link to buy the DLC is out yet even though the downloadable content date for this certain DLC is May 18th 2010. Which is today! Bah!

Not out for PC yet? I thought the PC and the 360 versions were supposed to release at the same time? There are people who have already finished it, and I can't even BUY it?

Oh well. Bioware will just have to wait for my money. I think I'll just buy a new outfit for my Guild Wars character instead.

When it's available for PC, this will probably be the first place it shows up:

This is going to make some of the Alistair fangirls squee with delight and some of them defile the Ashes on their next playthrough.

For those that have played it, how quickly did you finish it? Is it basically just the last Denerim assault mission from Origins in length? And is there any interesting lore or story elements in it at all?

It's about the only thing I haven't tried so far, so it's plausible. I tried to see if Alistair could kill the Archdemon with his companions by holding the Vanguard, the ogre, an emissery, and a hurlock back, but alas the arch demon managed to obliterate the entire party on his own with the help from I think a blight wolf and maybe another hurlock.
