Quick play through which acceptable since it was only a five dollar DLC. The only part I like was how the Archdemon called out to the Darkspawn. This made a lot of sense. However, killing all the humans and party members made me sick. Even the dog layed there dead. I won't be playing through it again. I still feel sad.

Hm. Why did you buy this DLC then, it has pretty straightforward description. I actually enjoyed it - for about an hour I've been murdering everything in Denerim and actually enjoyed that you get to kill all main characters.

There is something fun about Shriek eating Leliana.

And why not try it out?. I was unaware that this was a DSC love forum. Just posting my experience. Which is Dragon Age Origins was written so well that I became emotionally invested in its outcome. Curiosity had me look at the "other side" but, for me it was not enjoyable. Left me with a sad feeling.

I really enjoyed this ogres grabbing helpless humies and shrieks ambushes. and at the end we can kill Alistair a dream come true for me. u can even seem him crawl away without any help and then... ^^ awesome DLC

Enthrall the 'ticker' darkspawn and move him there. After that it's automated.

Darkspawn Chronicles wasn't my favorite DLC, but Blightblood made it worth it.

The thing I hated most about DC was the festival music that was playing the whole time. Made the whole thing seem out of place and I couldn't take being the bad guy seriously.

i wonder what the background story of the darkspawn? this is quite interesting since when we normally play we just think the darkspawns are killing monsters unquestionably answerable only to the archdemon.....i can't wait to play this

I just finished playing through it. I don't know if it was worth the five dollars, I found bits of it lagging and couple glitches but nothing major. I liked it overall though. I loved playing as the Ogre, lol screw the rest of the Darkspawn I was the Ogre at any point I could be. I loved being able to lift up a main character, like Alistair, and introduce him to my giant Ogre fist. I also have to admit, I just liked meeting all the different characters again like Sten, Ogren, Leliana etc. and just being the ultimate badass by shoving them into their own pools of blood. At the end when the Hurlock Vanguard stabs Alistair in the back, I got this huge sense of success and reward that, pardon me, I didn't get when I killed the Archdemon. Sometimes I like it when the bad guy wins .

I liked this one. Initially I was skeptical, but once I played it I was hooked in. Seeing the "What If?" senario play out was kinda cool. Not too many games offer this type of thing. I would have liked a few more of the new sarcastic codex entries explaining how Allistar basically messed up seemingly everything trying to stop the blight without my help. It was strangly satisfying slowly killing off most of my former party members. The Ogre and the Shriek were the real stars of this add-on. To me they were by far the most fun to play as.

I downloaded this on the day of release and only just got-round to playing it. I have to admit, despite an overly healthy dose of skepticism, that I really enjoyed it. After I got into it, it was highly enjoyable to run around with my Shriek and Ogre and Hurlock Emissary. The highlight for me is definitely the final battle atop Fort Drakon. I loved some of the codex entries. It was interesting to see how Alistair coped with being leader, and the decisions he made, some of which he vehemently opposes in the original campaign. I liked his more serious look in the scenes he was in.

Was it worth the £3.10 ish I paid for it? Probably. It's definitely not my favourite DLC, but it was certainly fun. Kudos for the final cutscene as well.

Also, Herren - seriously? That was a twist and a half.

Emissary was alright. Combat's pretty challenging at first. No real plot, lots of killing. Think of it as a home-made DSC.

This should mean no plot. No nice story or insight into the darkspawn. Pure hack&slash. 30min of "select all - give attack order - select Ogre and grap the harder enemies = done"

Combat isn´t challenging at all. Would not suggest buying this, you are better of with fan made content.

(before someone comes up with a dumb "but why did you buy it then..." stuff, the answer is to get ride of the BW points..they are unfortunately not transferable)

Passed on this one -- been playing BG1 and 2 with various mods... As always, great reliable fun.

Ah well, back to cleaning i guesses...
