Hey all, I am new to the toolset, so just some pokes in the right direction would be welcome.

I've got my external test area working in the game, it's a new module for simplicities sake, but I've had a couple of errors lingering, and they are likely both related.

The first and most important, is my area starting waypoint isn't selectable from the modules preferences, I have to manually set the modules entry coordinates to a similiar spot, which works fine, but leaves the player entering the module with their arms outstretched. I have tried recreating several waypoints, but none can be selected.

A small part of my level is in night, and the rest is in day. Originally I accidently had the playable area of my level set to a small area of it, when I realised this I went back and expanded the playable area using the green/yellow/red boxes. However now I am left with a small 64 by 64 dark area on an otherwise sunny map.

Are these two errors related? I can move around the gameworld fine, walking over the dark and light bit, and the pathing seems fine.

Any help appreciated, cheers.

Did you set the Tag field of the waypoint? That should make it selectable in the module properties.

Since the player is spawning with arms outstretched, you may also have a scripting problem, possibly in your module event script. Are you using Character Generation, or a pre-made character?

The usual way to handle night and day is to make two different areas, each with their own level art.

Isn't the spawning with arms outstretched a known issue?

Well, it's not in the bug list in the wiki. Do you remember where you saw it?

All I could find in a quick forum search was a reported bug in Awakening where the player's arms stretch forward (like a zombie or sleepwalker) after combat.

I imagined the arms stretched sideways (which is how models often start out before animation). Maybe the OP could clarify?
