This looks so incredibly uninteresting that it hurts. I was never interested in playing as a darkspawn. I'll get it, mostly for a cheevo, but it'll probably be a once-through playthrough and then I will torch it from my xbox's memory.

I don't understand this. They get praise for making an amazing immersive RPG, winning awards left and right. So they take that as a sign that they should change everything? I know it's DLC but this seems to be the direction they're taking. As long as you get our money, huh BioWare/EA?

I just want to make sure I understand, is the reason that everybody's pissed off because this DLC is about killing beloved companions, or because it is likely not going to have a significant plot or contribution to the plot and just be a series of combat encounters, a combination of those, or a different reason all together?

It sounds like fun. Hopefully I can use Leliana to bludgeon Morrigan into a gooey paste. It would be nice if they give us the option to choose which companions Alistair gets to bring to the tower. I'd like to drop kick Sten into low earth orbit for sh!ts and grins.

What's the point of me playing like almost 200 hours combined with my characters that I've made just to turn around and be like "Oh, you know all that stuff you just did? Well, we're just gonna omit that and pretend like it never happened for awhile." Wha?!?!?!

It's a bit of an argument in our gaming household at the moment, but I don't want to spend even $5 on this crap. If you just keep paying Bioware for fluff, using the game world and characters as cheap props, then they'll keep cranking it out this way.

To be fair... nobody's gotten to play it yet. You don't know if it's going to be straight fluff. Just because it is alternate universe and doesn't affect your cannon playthrough, doesn't mean it can't reveal something about the story. I'm hoping there's plenty of cutscenes and dialogue with the characters bravely making their last stand. Maybe we'll see the tail-end of a bizarro-world tragic romance between Alistair and Morrigan ala Han and Leia.
