So far I really like none of the companions :/

"wanna roll?"
"Im not sure i know what you mean" Wynn
"We will have to turn the lights out"
"Well i guess i should be flattered"Wynn
"Im not so sure i have the right equipment for all of that"
Sten is also great. "Dont be an idiot"
I only had wynn sten and liniada so I cant comment on the rest.
Alstiar only disappointed me at the end of the game. And that might have been becuase i did not have his faction maxed, so i cant comment.

I really loved all the characters. Of course with varying degrees. Alistair is funny at first, then it becomes clear he is nothing more than a child.
Sten is awesome. If you make him like you, you see the evolution in him. From being very cold, to starting to warm up to you.
Oghren is awesome. Nuf said.
Zevran is meeeh. I have to admit, his spanish accent is cool. But he is not the best around.
I killed Wynn.
Shayle is interesting.
Loghain is awesome, even if you don't get to talk to him alot.
And yes that's the point! You are not supposed to be able to make everyone love you! That's why the game is ralistic. IF you do something against a characters beliefs, expect him / her to hate you, or even try to kill you. Just like in real life, you can't please everyone. You might be able to make everyone at least tolerate you, but not love you.

I find it amusing how the OP used blood magic to kill the mother because the other options were too much bother, but later claims to be playing a Jedi who does the right thing.
...
Let me refer to that, because it was of vital importance to me. I really wanted to take this serious, play it as if I was there. The options were: kill the kid, kill the mother or go and seek a mage. I had only Morrigan as magic user at the time. I wanted to be as good as possible, but sometimes in reality you only have the choice between lesser bads.
Option one, to seek a mage was out of the question. There was a posessed kid, a demon inside, and it was way too risky to wait days or weeks. I had zero idea what powers the kid would have, it could take all over again.
Second, kill the kid or kill the mother. So I decided if the mother suggested it, and wanted it, and I confronted her if she was really sure, it was the "best" option under the circumstances. I stand to that decision, as hard as it was. It was exchanging the live of a loving mother for the future of her child. Terrible, but under circumstances the less bad of the three options I had. Alistar really was mad about it, and that pissed me off to no end. EVERYONE in that damn castle wanted me to decide. Why? Why should I decide? Why should not the mother decide for herself? Why would not Alistair, who is my senior (!!) decide? NONE would want their hands make dirty, so they all shoved the hard decision to me. It was utterly unfair, but someone HAD to make a decsion, and if I were there I would always decide so again. It was logical it was morally the least bad and it was the decisive will of the mother to give her kid that chance.
It speaks about that the game and the chars are well written. I always decide as if I were there and it was real, because then playing the story makes most sense to me. I never pretend, like playing evil on purpose. That just doesn't touch me.
I find the chars all well designed, very believable, but I don't get attached to them. And not necessarily because they disagree. I totally LOVED Kreia and that old grey Jedi from KOTOR 1, even tho they were a pain in the ass. But I felt for them, related to them. Since the incident with Blood Magic I don't like Alistair. He wants every blood magic user dead, and I don't see it. Sure it can corrupt, but in the essence it is a tool, like a saw. You can saw wood or kill a person with it; it is not the tool that is bad. I don't share this moral absolutism. Morrigans mother does "non sanctioned magic" and she seems pretty ok to me. I can not condem a person for potentially dangerous magic. I can only convict a person for what he did, when he actually harmed a person, not for the mere chance that a practice can harm. It's why I find the entire confinement of the mages absurd. They are practially imprisoned for the potential of being criminals, not for having actually done a thing.
The world and stories are well written, but so far it is all quite bleak and dark. Even Duncan, the way he killed that guy when he didnt want to drink the blood... I dunno, where would be the harm of letting him go? I don't see the light here, so I am down to the feeling of "fight the blight and make it ok". I don't see much chance for really doing good here.
Sten was the barbarian in the cage right? Well, I didnt free him. He was a murderer, he even admitted it, so why take him? The church Mother wasnt impressed since I had no persuasive abilities, and there the chance to free him ended.
I am kinda aggravated how much the chars critizise me. I mean, I am their leader. They are free to go, I forced NONE of them to come along. And on top, NONE of them wants to make their hands dirty, always it is ME who has to decide, and later they complain. I really would like to just go to Alistair and say, fine you don't agree with my leadership, then YOU do it. Just that he is an NPC, teh.
EDIT: I wish we had more influence to change the views of the companions over time, but they have their view and there is no altering it. Kinda meh.

Some NPC's stand out more than others in games. Thinking back most NPC's are forgettable with some exceptions. So far none of these characters have stood out personality wise. But perhaps I have yet to unlock any serious conversations. Every time I talk with them, they have very little to say. Lellianna I talked with her about shoes. Kind of stereotypical making a female character like shoes so much.
notable NPC's in games that have stood out for me.
BG1 and 2: Imoen, Minsc, Edwin
Kotor1: Canderous, HK47
NWN: Deekin
Fallout 1 and 2:, can't think of any in 1, Myron stands out in 2 even though he sucked at combat and I always dropped him. I just love his foul mouth LOL.

I think that's an excellent point.
Also, I have maxed out the speehcraft skill, yet only once could I convince a follower that what I did was right.
