.... when Anora gives the inspirational speech to the troops prior to the Battle of Denerim?

I was interested in seeing how all four endings played out, so I made Anora queen and let Loghain join the Wardens... but oh my god, not only did that felt so wrong (when Alistair was confronting me I was like "I know, but I have to see the other ending!"), but by the time Anora was done saying "for the Grey Wardens!", I was ready to vomit. To have her claim that it was time to honor the Grey Wardens was so hypocritical that I immediately desisted of wanting to watch all endings and went back to my previous save and made Alistair the King and have that wench locked up in the tower.

I just found out there is a group dedicated to hating Anora.... glad I'm not the only with such strong feelings!

Seriously, why is there no option to have her executed!

In the hate-league I think the standings are 1. Howe 2. Anora 3. Loghain 4. Wynne.

No, there are other things in the game more worthy of my disgust.

Well, yeah how could I forget about Howe (no pun intended). Given that my character was a human noble, yeah Howe would indeed top Anora... "well, if it isn't Bryce Cousland's little spitfire!"... ughh, it felt sooooo good to shove some daggers down his throat.

I do find it surprising that there's so much hate for Wynne. I mean, yeah she can be annoying with her motherly advice, but I liked her.

I hate that speech not because it was almost the same as Alistair's, but her voice when giving rousing speeches to the troops just makes my ears bleed.

Seriously Anora, stick to adressing the nobles and leave military matters to the proffesionals...

I hate Howe and Isolde a lot more than Anora.  And that speech was cringeworthy.  Thank god I know I will never ever have to watch it again.

How could I possibly hate Anora when there are no options to kill Vartag (well, not without hunting him down after supporting Harrowmont) and, more to the point, Ivo? At least Anora only betrays you if you're being an idiot.

Then again, I've yet to find a way to justify hating someone based on not liking their voice. Not wanting to ever spend any time around them, sure. Outright hating them? Seems a little petty.

And don't forget that she had the nerve to side with someone who intended to keep her on the throne if you let her know you won't support her in a purely political matter. Pure evil, that one.

And the worst thing, she rejects holding hands with Alastair.

THAT BETCH

And then there is perhaps the worst thing of all: she turns against you if you promise to support her but let her know how much you want to kill her beloved father! God, you're okay with removing him from power because he's crazy but don't want me cutting off his head if another option can be found? Unbelievable. And not to mention that her epilogue as ruler is more impressive than Alistair's. A grave sin.

And when does that "slap Alistair's hand away" happen? I've married him off to Anora twice and I have not seen this happen. Does Loghain have to be dead at Landsmeet for this to trigger in that joint-marriage version?

I find it far easier to like her when I don't take her anywhere but to see Anerin (and even then she annoys me. So the Circle needs him, huh? Despite the Templars trying to kill him? Didn't Irving say the Circle needed her and she blew him off? Hypocrite) and when I skip through all her dialogues. I really hate pretty much all the dialogue options to deal with her.

And not to mention that her epilogue as ruler is more impressive than Alistair's. A grave sin.

And she singlehandedly caused the riot in the Alienage when everyone else was trying so hard to get along! I've also heard a rumor that she was actually the one working with Howe to kill the GW and Alistair because she doesn't want them near her throne and preemptively had Howe kill the Couslands in case Cailan should die. Not to mention she hired Leliana to try to kill the Warden and Alistair even though she apparently can't be bothered to make a cursory attempt.

And don't even get me started on her wanting to kill the man who only wants to be King to kill her beloved father so Ferelden can have some semblance of stability for the first time since Ostagar...

I think so. It happens in the coronatio cut-scene; he tries to grab her hand and she pulls it away when they're climbing the stairs to be crowned rulers. And maybe it isn't just her being evil, maybe he had sweaty hands? He was probably nervous. And they hardly know each other and she doesn't seem the type to be big on PDA. Why do people assume that this means Alistair is in for a living nightmare?

Anora's main sin is practicality, only allowing herself to be swayed by sentiment in matters of her father. I don't really dislike her, since I understand her motives and she's not even close to the monster that Howe and Uldred were. She can get kinda ****y, but, come on, anyone who's been lugging Morrigan around has been subjected to much greater depths of petty ****iness. I usually hook up Anora and Alistair, avoiding the subject of her father entirely in that conversation, then execute Loghain at the Landsmeet. Alistair becomes King, gives the speech, and Anora shuts up until the coronation, after which she is oddly nice considering I personally executed her father.

A distaste for even such a minor PDA as hand holding is sometimes seen as  proof of possible intimacy issues ... which, if her Father is to be believed, Anora has.

OF course im only going on my one conversation with Loghain and the DAO wiki so maybe we're reading too much into it.
