I was wondering if there is a way to set how far one can see in the level.
I have a map that the character moves and he can't see the end of the area until he is close to it. It is kinda annoying that once he gets within 40ft a castle appears or something else.
Any ideas?

Different assets have different drawing distances. I don't know how to change the draw distance of the assets, but I would suggest you experiment with different castle pieces (if your problem is a castle) and see which 'set' (as in, fne_, fca_, etc) has the biggest draw distance.
Generally the very large pieces like all of the tevinter exterior pieces (tve_ and tvm_ in the model list) have a pretty much infinite draw distance and so do most of the fne_ pieces (used in Denerim)
If that doesn't work, you'll have to use clever placement of trees, hills or other things to hide the pop-in of those assets.

Yeah the draw distance is the issue. Like Right now my issue is hro_dreadtrenchesdoor I think that is the name. It doesn't pop into place until you are way close, but ingame where you fight on the bridge you see it from the otherside no issue.
How did they increase the draw distance for that?

I just checked out redcliff and the waterfall there has the exact same viewing distance as our mods do. So it looks like our problem is not gona change anytime soon. We will all have to hide this problem with alot of trees or something.......

mhbradshaw, since you're talking about the dead trenches door, its possible the version in-game is a placeable and not a model placed in the level editor. Maybe placeables have a larger draw distance?
