Missing Blight Queller Achievement on Xbox

Here's why I feel like it should have unlocked by now: first game play through I killed over 900; second play through killed over 900 again; imported character into Awakening and played through that (forget the actual number of kills); third playthrough killed hundreds more. I did almost every side quest, all the origin stories, and all the other achievements, as I stated, but I still came up short.
I was wondering if anyone else is having the same problem. I don't want to play again just to remain empty handed. The only thing I can think of is that I kept the game on Casual the entire time. Does that make a difference? Are there more enemies on the higher difficulty levels?
This is driving me nuts. Please offer any advice if you can!
Thanks!

If you search this thread you will find that one guy did a test and got it by killing 1000 darkspawn in one playthrough and getting the killing blow each time. It seems you can only get it in one playthrough and you have to make the kill with the character you currently control now.
Another guy also found that you can do this by reloading part of the game as it stores the killed stats even if you reload and replay, he played part of the final area over and over until it popped.
But yes, it seems to be bugged now.

Although you may think that you are not getting the achievement or trophy until you have an absurd number of kills.... the system is counting PC kills only for this achievement. It quite explicitly states in the Achievement info that one can reply on multiple playthroughs to get this...
if your team members are always rushing in and killing darkspawn, your PC will lag behind for quite some time.
(I am still working on this myself... it is the last of two achievements that I do not yet have. Perfectionist being the other. I hope to find out for sure over the next day or two if Blight Queller will finally "pop" I am using a very well equipped Dwarf Warrior as my PC, equipped with the Starfang sword loaded with anti-darkspawn runes.).

before 1.03 I got this achievement on a different profile no problem right at the beginning of a second playthrough. On this profile, (I've just got a wifi adaptor for my xbox finally so now am using a window's live one) I've three playthroughs and not sign of it. The 500 one only popped when I was playing one of the chars ending through repeatedly to get the different endings.

After 5 or so playthroughs, I had not unlocked Master Warden or Blight-queller.
I tried deleting the patch and killing a few more darkspawn and nothing happened.
I tried a complete solo run, killing just over 1000 darkspawn and nothing happened.
This past run, I deleted EVERYTHING dragon age related off my hard drive (backing up the 2 playthroughs I really enjoyed in case I ever wanted to go back to them) and made sure to always play with the patch not installed. I did a full group run. Upon 500 darkspawn kills, Master Warden has just unlocked as it was supposed to. I am now doing Alienage runs for blight-queller.
Edit: 6 Alienage runs later, got Blight-queller. Just a note, if you do decide to delete everything like I do, back up your saves on a flash drive or memory card, it's nice to have not lost all those characters.

I'm not sure I can stomach another playthrough to do this. Especially without all my precious DLC goodies.

I’ve beaten the game 3 times (the last one about a week ago) with a fourth almost done as well as all done all the origins and an Awakenings game run through and it still hasn’t unlocked. My nephew who beat the game twice got the achievement months ago.
Any word on this one? Oh wait, this is the Tech support forums and every one from BioWare seems to have gone on a month long vacation or something. Silly me.
Even try and go to that EA Tech Support site and do a search for Blight Queller Achievement and you get no help at all. Not like I expect anything from EA and their crap tech support. Nothing like getting the royal run around from BioWare.
I was just about to make a new topic on this until I saw this thread. Maybe I’ll still make a new one and add it to every forum in this site each day until we get some sort of reply from BioWare. This thread is after all 4 months old and still not a reply from them.

So...I agree with Darth Drago, it's quite amusing that Bioware answers to useless threads like "We need furries in DA2" and yet has no comment on this one. No offense intended, but, come on guys, 4 months?

Happy to report you don't need to delete or reinstall anything...
Farming the Alienage with my party set to just stand around (turn tactics off and they do nothing... Sidenote: Is that supposed to happen?) 10 or so runs later, and my achiev popped.
I have everything installed, all the DLC incl. Awakening... And the most current Patch... This wasn't a solo run, so the Alienage runs were a few more than ELITE Pete had to do.
71/72 Achievies... Now to kill the Harvester on Hard or Nightmare.

FYI, I emailed EA about this and got the "clear your cache" answer, which didn't end up working. Their next reply was basically, "we don't know how to fix it, but we'll pass your info along to the dev team. sorry." Maybe it's time to take ELITE Pete's approach after all...
