Check out the new trailer for Darkspawn Chronicles now on GameSpot!

You'll also find a Q&A with Lead Designer Rob Bartel, where he discusses the new role you'll play as part of the Darkspawn onslaught!

Any news on average gameplay time? If it's really just Denerim I'm guessing we can assume about an hour?

I think this is a very clever idea and look forward to playing it.

That Rob Bartel wrote is a huge bonus.

This is an amazing idea. I love that someone is actually putting something new and creative out. Hats off to whoever came up with this idea.

OMG! We killed Alistair! We bastards! :crying:
Fangirl's heart is broken. But I'll purchase this DLC anyway.

I might be too much of a softie to go about killing off Morrigan and all the other companions. Looks interesting nevertheless.

The only one I'll have a hard time going after would be Zev, if he's even in it... Otherwise I think it will be an interesting adventure. Very creative, looking forward to it.

Can we have confirmation please that this requires patch 1.03 or not? I've already spent money on content I can't play so would appreciate knowing if 1.03 is a requirement before spending any more money. Thanks.

I'm going to get this DLC just because i love bioware and like it above every other game company there can be, but to be honest, i'm not looking forward to it... Dragon Age until now was all about The Wardens, Honor in battle and die trying... to play as the darkspawn... meh.. don't like it, but as i said, going to play it because... i don't know... just because...

I know you guys may have put some or a lot of work in this next DLC but somehow i feel... uhm.. what to call it... upset.

Still, good work, i know it's going to be good anyway. =)

Reads write up and watches trailer

I'll pass.

I'll also admit to being very disappointed, but there are plenty of fans who will pick up the slack, I'm sure.

What a complete joke! Yet another Q&A and still no question for the dev about BW getting off their lazy ****ing greedy money grubbing asses and fixing the game.

Question 1: When are you going to fix the game?

Question 2: Considering how buggy DA:O, the expansion and all of your DLC is, why should anyone one buy this DLC?

Question 3: Is having zero support for your games standard policy now?

Question 4: How does it feel to treat your fans like **** and do you think that this is good customer relations?

Question 5: Do you think that people who buy your games are human beings or just bank accounts waiting to be ripped off?

I think it is a fantastic idea. People on this forum keep complaining about how Patch 1.03 "broke" their game, and other such nonsense. I, however, appreciate the work the developers put into this, and I'll definitely enjoy this DLC. But please, PLEASE, at least have a significant presence of dialogue choices. As others have said, playing as a mindless, choiceless darkspawn wouldn't be as fun in some ways.

That is a update to fix PS3 fireware issue. What about for the Xbox?

Well, to play as a Darkspawn looks like fun idea, but from other hand, I don't like, that Alistair isn't able to win a battle just beouse there's no PC Warden. It's look like he is too naive/stupid/soft or whatever to lead ppl..How can I make someone like him a King then, if he can't be a true leader without one single person.....

Considering the price tag I think it would be unreasonable to expect more.

How about a fix for the PC version as well? I like Dragon Age very very much, but man does this game crash a lot! And with Awakening installed it got even worse. At times it is almost unplayable. And thats just the crashing issues. There are lots of other reported bugs that you might want to look in to as well.
New content is ofc always welcome, but you want might to fix the issues with the current content first before starting developing new.

It's a ridiculous conceit but that's what will make it sooo much fun.

Personally, given it breaks away completly from the original storyline (essentially it will be in its own alternate reality) I might even enjoy getting rid of my old party...mwahhaha

Yes, I'm sure we're going to see him exercise his writing niche through the many screams and roars of the Darkspawn.
