Set in an alternative universe where "you" died in your Joining but AFAICT is NOT playing the whole game from the darkspawn viewpoint, but rather you being a darkspawn commander in the siege of Denerim.
Yet just like "doing things in the Fade affects the material world" (although it's not exactly clear why)... looks like they had to sweeten the pot .... doing things in this alternative universe gives your Warden something (a sword they call "Blightblood").
Incidentally, read the Q & A. **It sounds mostly like a Warhammer-style RTS set in the context of the siege of Denerim**. There will be no "darkspawn party". Rather, your darkspawn commander can simply select any unit within sight as he's moving around (ogre, shriek, blight wolf, whateva), and issue it orders.
On the one hand, the try everything side of me says I might get this just to try out the darkspawn unique abilities (like Grab).
On the other hand, it's just hard for me, from an immersion perspective, to immerse myself in a mission I can't embrace (killing innocent people).
EDIT: and maybe I'm wrong, but the trailer seems to hint you may get to play the Archdemon itself. Which is enough of a mindbending idea for me to be caught in a tailspin between hmmmmm and arrrrrrgh.

That is pretty much my opinion about going all RAAAWR and AAARGH. Further words aren't needed.

LOL! Thank you.
I am surprised so many people cannot handle an 'Evil wins' DLC. It's an alternate, NON-CANON take on if the PC died.
The only problem I Really see with it is WHY is Alistair wearing Templar armor? He's just asking to get slaughtered.

also they should have had the warden just never been recruted by duncan than have him die at the joining
its an interesting idea, but ill wait to see if its good after awakening.

I am interested in how reviews of it are once it comes out and what people think about it.

I wonder if this is common. I remember that in the old TIE Fighter game, you ended up not doing too much fighting against the Rebels, who come across as kind of insignificant.

Someone even said that it's an immersion breaker, I think not. It's a nice change to the usual defeat the blight and save the world chore. I'm interested to see how the Darkspawn will work to put down Denerim. So for 5$, I think it's worth it.

I was hoping for a romance Awakening addon, tbh. I am pretty disappointed.

So development time devoted to playing a drakspwn in the Battle of Denerim, as opposed to fixing the buggier than an ant farm 1.03 patch for PC ( or anything at all on console for that matter ).
Yeeeeah.
Tanks for nothing BioEAware.

I doubt that there is any twist to the story. Your godlike Warden died at the Joining and without him or her the mission is doomed.Pious_Augustus wrote...
After the terrilble addon I doubt anyone would buy known as Feastday it seems like Bioware again has suprised us with a new and interesting twist to the Dragon Age story! So how long is the play time? For five bucks I know it wont be a lot but this should be interesting
I doubt there's any point to the backstory. Like why exactly is Morrigan in the final battle? Why is Alistair wearing Templar armour? What was the result of the Landsmeet? And what insight into the supposed Darkspawn hive mind can be provided?
Really, I could come up with ideas why the scenario could be interesting and I'm certain none of the ideas will be adressed at all. I expect pointless, uninspired hack and slash.
Edit: I might be more interested if I could see my own PC fail but NOOOOOOO. My PC can be a self-serving ass and still be an awesome hero who will never fail ... unless you let them choke on a little bit of Darkspawn blood.

I am going to consider it cathartic, even if I have to kill the ones I love. I'll just appreciate my team more when I get to them.
