Graphical issues, choices doesn't matter?, you must be kidding. ME1 was an awesome game...until you play ME2, then it just becomes a nice game, painful sometimes.
- Its shooter part was a joke, the enemies were dark blobs with a red triangle blocking the sight, a biotic or any other class could beat the game with blazing guns only, the cover system was a nightmare, the lack of ammo was the perfect chair wheel for lazy players, ME1 as shooter was run'n'gun...ME2 is simply perfect
- the animations and dialogues plot were robotic, in ME2 are organic and unforgettable
- in ME1 there is only one important choice, Kaidan or Ashley, Ashley or Kaidan, ME2 is everything a big choice
- All the inventory stuff, hundreds weapons, armours, dozens chapters in the personage window was redundant, boring, bad designed...in ME2 everything is there but fine tuned and "your" weapon is "your" weapon, she has a name, you clean her every night, she knows you, you know her.
- ME1 looks worse and runs worse, ME2 has awesome concept art, more logic palette, you can see enemies, no terrible recycling of scenarios, no those graphically horrible secundary worlds and the absurd Mako physics
- Yeah, the scanning of minerals is the black dot of ME2...use the saves editor, end of the pain.
And a bunch of other aspects, Bioware listened to players and made ME2 perfect...because they listened to the right people, not to the dodos birds in this community...Evolve!
Yeah, I know, my english sucks, there is a whole world out there.

Yeah.... right. It's hard to write a proper reply without using spoilers.
Did you play a different game or something? Or wait: you played ME1 after ME2 and only on Normal difficulty?
There are lots of important choices in ME1, Virmire is just one example. I can't give details because this is the General Discussion forum but what about the Queen, the Council, Wrex...
ME1 is two years older. So comparing the visuals/animations to ME2 is unfair.
Why would you even want to compare these games? They're both great so instead of comparing them and giving criticism, launch the game and have fun. What's with all the criticism in the past few days?

Yes, I know ME1 has important choices, just like ME2 (can't list them, spoiler-free), but in ME1 you can't loose your whole crew if you take stupid decisions, and you can't save a personage just buying karma points like in ME1, that's ridiculous, that's not a choice, that's an arab bazaar.
I compared both graphically because the OP says ME2 has graphic issues, wich is laughable, ME1 runs worse with no doubt, has worse control, terrible interactions with scenario collisions, sound bugs, framerate drops, etc.
Don't get me wrong, I still love ME1 but Bioware gave us Heaven with ME2, I don't want they ruin it because they listen to nostalgics.
