Of course in Origins, because there is no new medium armor in Awakening.

Well, the Ancient Elven Armor looks good - although it almost looks like heavy armor.

Not sure if its medium, but the armour you get at Soldiers Peak for killing Sophia is the best looking armor in the game in my opinion.

Sophia's armor is massive I think, but I agree it's really nice looking. It's one of my favorites. Unfortunately light and medium armor doesn't get much love, all the coolest sets are heavy or massive.

The heavy chainmail looks pretty nice IMO, maybe a lower level version of that be a decent option for a "medium" armor. Or, depending on how much armor rating you want, a few of the high end light armors have 9.0 armor and look pretty good, like Shadow of the Empire and Felon's Coat.

I like the dragon scale armor for medium best. (It also happens to be the best medium armor in game from a stats perspective imho).

I'm always partial to Shadow of the Empire or Felon's Coat although I like to put Leliana in Dalish Leather to see her belly-button.

Yes, but that's LIGHT armor. ;)

Stat-wise there's not much difference between good light armour and medium armour. As a Rogue, why would you want heavier armour as it would tend to slow you down? As a Warrior, why would you wear medium armor when heavy or massive armour is what you need to survive? My characters wind up with either Light or Heavy/Massive armor depending on class/specs.

Sorry, getting off-topic.  We're supposed to be discussing the best-looking medium armor . . . Is there any?

I made dragonscale medium for my rogue. It did not really slow her down and she got all the cool bonuses. It also had a very nice look. It was very handy in Awakenings until I got the black blade set.

Varathorn's Armor coupled with a scale armor set looks okay...kind of makes you look like robo-cop, though lol. If you said heavy armor, I would say its easily Dilligence armor set (or however you spell that)--massive I would say Loghain's armor looks the awesomest lol.

Ferelden Ceremonial Armor.

Although if you don't have either The Winter Forge mod or the Of Noble Cast mod, I'm not sure you can actually get the stuff in-game. The Diligence armor is close but that's not quite it.

Agreed, with the exception of the thane's helmet. ;) After that, I'd say veridium splintmail, but only for men. It looks absolutely ridiculous on women, even without the impossibility of making strips of metal bend like that.

Armour of Diligence looks good, matches nicely with the Griffon Helm. Excellent stats too.

Well, this thread revealed a clear consensus. I would suggest alternatives, but the armour of diligence and ancient elven armours really are the best medium sets.

Of course, no medium armour set looks as badass as the best massive armour sets. Legion of the Dead armour is so godly. Juggernaut armour is fine too.
