I've endured through the "sudden ps3 crash" madness this last forknight, and managed to get my second avatar to the end of the normal game with 996 dead darkspawn.

I didn't played Ostagar DLC with this avatar, and there're some darkspawn there, I thought. So I just go there, kill 4, and get the golden trophy.

Alas, no way. I can't get the trophy.

Any explanations, other than "crap bioware, sony morons, RTFM"?

I had noticed that one of the little interstitial loading messages tells me I've killed way over 500, but I still don't have the trophy for 500. I'll be curious to see what sort of answers you get.

I am having the same problems as well, I have 1300 with the rogue, 900 with the soldier and 500 with the mage and nothing has eve come up past killing 100.



North America game disc as well as ALL of the available DLC. I didn't play any of the DLC until I started my second character(soldier) and ended the game at 990ish darkspawn kills before any DLC was played.

because you have to kill darkspawn.in the total number are calculated human-like,animals,golem and so on,i think:| i don't ever know where to find 1000 darkspawn,i cleared the game and i didn't even get the 2 trophy..aren't they cumulable?

The PS3 version may give Grey Warden late, and not give Master Warden/Blight-Queller at all. (4/21/10 1002 DS killed without second and third trophies.)

Just to make it clear: my character has killed over two thousand people. I checked how many darkspawn I've dispatched on the "achievements" page of the missions and journal "page" within the game. It also says Morrigan has done a maximum damage of over 400, I dunno how 8) Maybe with Alistair when I was not watching XD



Long story short: I do have the other darkspawn killing trophies & achievements. The achievements show up in social.bioware sometimes even a day after I got them. I've been having troubles with social.bioware since day one, btw.



I also have the perfectionist (sp?) trophy, having reach only three different endings, not four, as I am told there're.



I also have unlocked blood magic cheating. Saving, yes, reloading, kill daemon with nice ******.

I'm having the same problem. Well over 500 DS kills but no trophy. I hope they patch this soon along with freeze issue.

just finished my 3rd playthrough. I played this one differently based on the issue. I killed all darkspawn with my main character, setting the supporting characters to passive and supporting. Ended the campaign with 967 darkspawn killed. I still don't have either the 500 or 1,000. I tried that little trick they were saying about just loading the game up at the final battle over and over and it will unlock, still nohting.

But what really bothers me is that it seems that nobody is doing anything about it. Neither sony or BioWare seem to care. Every web forum that has anything to do with DAO or playstation lists several posts where people are having the same problem.

I've checked gamefaqs and wikia.com.

For the 1000 dead darkspawn, one site states that, on a PC, it just delivers the trophy when you kill 1000 living things (gets the sum of *all* deaths, not just the darkspawn... so it's a bug).

The other one says that the 1000 count is considering *all* playthroughs.

It looks like for PS3 owners, DAO is counting 1000 *dragons* killed in a single playthrough. 8(

All this stuff reminds me of what happened with Fallout 3. The game began without trophies for PS3. When I was halfway the main quest of my second character, the possibility of getting trophies poped up. There was no way of claiming the formerly won thropies, other than playing *again*

I'm saying this because if it's true that the 1000 award accounts all playthroughs, not just one, maybe Bioware patched this, and we're *screwed*.

The issue is the same on the Xbox and seems to have been created on the last patch as it used to work fine.



I have 1400 kills on my char who did all dlc and awakenings and didn't get the 500kill one. I played through the ending on her four times to get perfectionist and finally master warden (500 kills) popped up on the last one. Goodness knows if I'll ever get blight queller o_O.

weird cuz i got my gold trophie for 1000 kills. it even registers here on my bioware profile trophy list as showing the little symbol for it somewhere in that huge list lol.

I had got it when Awakenings had came out just fooling around checking it out. Was actually shocked when it happened. This also was before the whole 3.30 issue

yeah seems to be really hit and miss and really annoying.

some people get it by soloing 1000 darkspawn others say that doesn't work. Some get it by replaying areas high in darkspawn and reloading others say that doesn't work either. Looks like it's well and truly broken

anyone already has a update about this issue since I think my 1000 kills trophy is bugged aswell(I did got the 500 kills trophy maybe that's a good sign and I am just being nervous without a reason:S)

My apologies, I skipped to the very end, so I don't know if what I said wasn't already covered. Two tips I invested in that helped me barely get over 1000 darkspawn kills were:



1. All DLC will contribute darkspawn kills to the trophy. There are quite a bunch of darkspawn in each DLC considering the size. Warden's Keep is the only one that doesn't involve slaying Darkspawn, but merely a plethora of demons and shades and undead.



2. During the battle against the Archdemon, there is a nearly endless number of darkspawn to kill (I don't know if it is actually an infinite number to kill) but I used that to get more than the number of darkspawn slain to reach the trophy.



Other than those two specific tips, just don't ever skip any areas, cover all random encounters. And in case origin doesn't matter to you, Dalish Elf Origin covers darkspawn BEFORE Ostagar.

update:

I got the blight queller after deleting the 1.03 patch, took a lot of time but after like 20 waves I switched my set up and put Morigan into the crew. I played with her and after like 3 kills it unlocked. So for people having trouble:

1. Delete 1.03 patch in game data

2. play offline

3. Have a save @ Alienage(end of the game when you are doing an evasion)

4. make some kills and if it doesn;t unlock select another character and try all characters obtained

ive got this problem aswell im sure that on at least one of my characters ive killed 1000 darkspawn but still achievment wont unlock tis really anoyin cos tryin 2 get max achievment points for DA

here the same, i play 4 times and have more of 1000 DS whit each character on my ps3, and no luck, now i try deleted all game data (hope patch too) and try whit a new one...this bug is killing me.

Right now i have about 1500 DS kills and no trophy. This is pretty much the only thing from stopping me from platinum. Why wont it let us on PS3 get it????/

Okay, I've done 3 full playthroughs now on my ps3. And my second warden went through awakenings, golems and the witch hunt which I am fairly sure would bring me well over 1,000 darkspawn and yet I still have not gotten either the 500 or 1000 DS kill trophy. Tried contacting EA, they told me to come here and I am surprised there is not a good answer of fix here from either Bioware or EA. They have our game information on the social servers, can't they award us the trophies we've already earned???
