Yes.Some people don't like that but I feel that if I did it once I don't want to have to do it again.

I think Kotaku stated that its coming out in February of 2011. The date is posted on the box in Awakening (I don't know the exact date because mine is purchased from the PSN store).

On another note, don't download Awakening because you can't register it. I should've purchased it from the store instead...

There was an insert in the DAA boxes that have a 02/11/2011 date on it, but there was nothing saying it was definitely DA2. It could be anything from BioWare really.

6 origins x 2 genders + different specialisations/skills + different role playing = almost unlimited playthroughs. Changing the quest order around, making different decisions, choosing different dialogue options, playing with different romances, being good/evil/something inbetween. This all adds up to a whole load of game play. All of these have a bearing on what happens in the game & how NPC's respond to you so although the main quests are the same there is a lot of variation you can have between games.

It all depends on how you build your party and on your gameplay. Take some time to set up your party's tactics and don't forget to reset tactics depending on the type of fight you are currently playing. I do a lot of pausing in battles to make tactical decisions, and take control of different characters at different stages of battle. Keeping an eye on party health is important, as is being ready to use health poultices or healing from your mage, before anyone gets too low on health. Running away, healing, regrouping then throwing the party back into the fray is sometimes useful too.

I died a lot in my first playthrough but treating that as a test run and not worrying too much about it sure made the later games a lot more fun. Hope this helps somewhat.

aha, so would you say herbalism is important? or is it better too make ur mage an healer? but then u loose alot of DMG.

ah tactic screen is to complicated, just so confusing i dunno maybe im just dummer than ur average person :(

this may sound like a stupid question :P but do you have maybe some youtube video of u in combat so i can study it?

There are many, many DA videos up on youtube, a couple people even have some links to them in their signature.

By the way, you'd get more in-depth answers to some of your questions if you posted in the spoilers allowed forum. You'd need to register your game first.

You can do that here: social.bioware.com/user_bw_games_register.php

And now you can use any promo codes your game came with too. You can actually do that in game (sort of) by clicking on downloadable content and redeem codes. It'll pull up a web page to enter them in. You download them within the program.

There's also a couple neat mage starting items if you play through the flash game. They're not almighty or anything, but you can at least get a gold out of em once you have something better. Look on DA's main page if you want to play that.

I downloaded Origins, Awakening and all the dlc, if you check my picture by my post, you'll see I have the Awakening tag.    Everything is registered.    I'm a PC owner if that makes any difference.

Set your game to easy.Set it so it pauses automatically when you are attacked. If you have a rogue set them to attack mages and rogues. There is a thread in this forum called things I wish I new when I started or something like that.Check it out.It has a lot of good info for beginners. And of course we will always be here to help.Good luck and enjoy!

I've played through it four times, but I've yet to try an archer. I feel I'd be totally underpowered.

I've played through thrice so far, one character got deleted when I changed computers but the other two are going through awakening. Will probably play a couple more times to get a good feel of where mod items should go that I'm making. Want the item to fit the location and all that.

As for the codes, you should have gotten a couple cards with your game (if you bought the game new). One with a picture of a golem on it and another with a heavily armored figure. Enter those codes in to get your free DLC. Need to hurry though, I think they expire soon.

Check the confirmation emails you recieved when you purchased your online edition for DLC codes and registration codes.

Arcane Warrior/Blood Mage in my opinion is the strongest you can create (some say overpowered).

what I think is lame is I'm just starting my second play through after I finished it a few months ago and after my Dwarf noble origins story I did the noble thing but after that he has pretty much the same dialogue as my Elf character.  I don't know I think I'll just play through the rest of the origins stories and put the game down for a long time since the origins doesn't affect the main game as much as I thought it would

I think anyone who's played it would say overpowered :)

regarding archery , in DAO its definetly weak at the start but by the end of the game its decent . Weak compared to the all powerful mage still but it does get better as you level . I think an archer with ranger/bard is good by the end of the game as you bring good buffs and decent pet as well. One problem with archery is its fairly boring as theres not many skills to click but you can control your other chars to keep you busy .
