A nice theory talked about a lot. In ME2, the Rachni queen pledges her support in the war to come, as well as hints about the return of the Krogan to glory and a possible Geth/Quarian alliance if you can ease their disputes in ME3.
Question is, the races uniting will be a plot point, but will it bear any effect on actual game play or narrative. Will we see a Dragon Age type "recruit allies" type questline and will it be used at the end, or will the race recruitment happen more organically and only have a bearing in cutscenes rather than gameplay.
I'm not suggesting an RTS, a developer should always play to it's strengths(not saying BW wouldn't have a decent bash at it though), but will we be organising troops like DA-O, or simply watching them fight. Will we lose entire races, maybe we side with the Quarians and Admiral Xen and wipe out the Geth. Will consequences come from not making the right alliances or making the right plays.
ME3 Race Recruitment?

I don't think it will end up like that. What will most likely happen is that strict Paragons will win based off of cooperation while strict Renegades will win from strength of Humanity. I don't think they will go into the races into the main plot point except for the Geth and the Quarians.
The Reapers will go down regardless of the Alliances you have made is the conclusion I have made regarding ME's story arc. This isn't laziness either by the part of the Bioware devs, it is what I believe to be the revelation of the actual storyline of Mass Effect.
