would definitely be an interesting idea to see implemented and it could lead to epic story moments, like when Shepard is getting ready for a battle, then he says some awesome one liner, and the helmet goes on.

CSI - Citadel edition.

Or would that be CSEC?

Agreed and it should include a collapsable breathing mask for the helmet as well - at the moment the N7 helmet seems to be the only helmet wearable in vacuum for Shepard.

The Death Mask and Recon Helmet are also wearable in vacuum.

I agree completely with this idea. I still want them to patch ME2 to allow me to toggle off the helmet, but even if they don't this is a fantastic solution for ME3.

I think it's a nice idea...but the Kuwashi Visor needing to collapse is a bit silly...it's not like it really COVERS anything. Most of the visors barely cover the eye(s), so I've never seen a need to worry about them...but the helmets, it would certainly make people happy.Though, I think I'd like it to be an option you can set somewhere. I kind of like my helmet. lol

I support this fully - this is a better idea then a magically disappearing helmet OR a toggle - make it so Bioware :D

i like the idea but the visor is cool without it collapsing but i do like the idea of a death mask i think it would look cool if the death mask  front piece flipped up.

I would be happy with an enclosed version of the kestral(sp) helmet. All those nice damage bonuses go away on 1st visit to collector ship.... and in any other place where air is thin...

I really want this to happen. Make some options though. I like my visor up all the time, but stuff like the Death Mask I would want to collapse. The idea of linking it to the weapons s good, whenever you draw your weapon the helmet closes. Stuff like the Archon Visor I'd like to see an ODST style fade from opaque to transparent.

This thread cannot die! This is one of the best ideas created by gamers.

why not have the player choose when the helmet can collapse and when it can turn back into a helmet because if it does it by itself won't it eventually cause some glitches like collapsing in battle or only collapsing halfway, but I still support this.

Great idea.. wonder why BW didn't think of that. It would also help with the scenes where Shepard faces is actually required.. like taking a drink.. or kissing someone.. would look a lot better then with a helm..

I really like this idea. Plus the thought of Shepard pulling an Iron Man or Issac Clarke with the helmet really warms me up to it.

I don't mind if they didn't add this to ME2. But I would definitely support this for ME3.

People, please... If you want this to happen, copy the link to one of the Sig Banners in the OP, click on "Forum Settings" to the far right of the search bar, and paste that link in your sig space, making sure to enclose the link with image tags ([ I-M-G] [/I-M-G] Minus the dashes inbetween the letters) so that it will appear. BUMPING IS NOT ENOUGH! Most of you aren't even using your sig spaces so at least put them to good use.

This is the first idea for ME3 I've read that doesn't look half-baked. An elegant solution to a bothersome problem.

great idea they should make it so its like the weapons so only when u go to fight it activates so during cut scenes u see it slide back and shepperds face can be seen.

sorry to bump this-please don't lock it.

but now that Vanquish is out i noticed he wears a VERY similar helmet to what's proposed in this thread.
Here it is in action: @1:26 link
I've watched a bit more of vanquish other than this vid- and i think his head looks reallllllly funny when its collapsed (during 'cutscenes')

so what does everyone think of it now?
Bioware to followsuit or auto-toggle during during cut scenes?

we have collapsable weapons, how are collapsable helmets at all far fetched?

I support this. I think the helmets should collapse at the start of conversations. So actiony cutscenes (even the ones with dialogue in them but not the ones when you can choose what to say) and just running around in citys, for example, illium or omega, the helmet should still be up.

I really think this should be a doable option for the game. Really great idea.

What if you like wearing a helmet all the time? I like it...
