Try playing as a engineer and bring along two squadmates who have overload like Shepard, Miranda, or Kasumi.
I had Kasumi and Garrus.

I used that new visor thingy that slows down cool down rates from the equalizer pack and let me tell you...

IT WAS A MASSACRE!  Even on insanity the Geth were dropping like flies.  Every second it was like OVERLOAD OVERLOAD OVERLOAD!  It was great!  Who knew that one of the harder parts of Mass Effect 2 could be rendered so easy.

Totally X-TREME!

Engineers FTW!

Well, compared to Thane's loyalty mission it is.

Engineer is a lot of fun there. Personally, I like Zaeed w/squad Disruptor and throw in Garrus/Kasumi and yes, it is a cake walk and fun.

shots fired for thane's loyalty mission=0
shots fired for haestrom= 2,000 (depending on weapon)

you cant even compre the two missions

my only difficulty was getting out of the crevace where you find the first detonator.

I don't bother doing thane's loyalty mission.

It's a waste of time. As well, Thane is more sensible without shredder ammo.

Thane is pretty much the most useless character on the suicide mission anyways.

He's great for the ventilation shaft part. Not in the shaft, in your squad. Warp + throw + viper = dead collector.

Thane dies in the vents even if he's loyal and you choose a good fire team leader(Miranda, Jacob, or Garrus.)

Thane has warp (ideally maxed), and +50% damage from his passive. I reckon that's very useful vs. collectors.

As a specialist, not so much.

i use him

garrus on mantis + overload
thane on mantis + warp

things die faster that way

Alright, maybe Mordin is the most useless but I really think they should've made it possible to have Thane succeed in the vents. I mean, he's in vents right before you first meet him for christ's sakes.

I like Thane on the suicide mission. Brought him and Samara on my Insanity run.

Thane: Warp + Viper=Things die.

Samara: Reave + Vindicator=Things die.

I take mordin on the long march and vs. the final boss. 'cos incineration blast = win vs. clumped up foes (vs husks in particular).

Tali is the most useless on the suicide mission. Sure, she can be a specialist, but whatever ... specialist jobs are all redundant.

The most fun I ever had on the suicide mission was sending Kasumi through the vents so that I could take Tali and Legion with me the whole way.

I really like Combat Drones.

Well if Legion gets incinerated like he did on my first playthrough(forgot the upgrades, lol!) then Tali becomes especially useful if you don't have Kasumi.

Well, you could just send Jacob in the vents. He volunteers, after all.

What's more, I don't bother doing Tali's loyalty mission, either. Well, mainly 'cos it's amusing to bring Legion to Haestrom, and there's not enough time if I want to save the crew.

You could do it in the after game.

I could also start another game ... 'cos Tali's mission is totally annoying, due to unskippable dialogue.

That does sound fun.  Do you get reactions from Kal'Reegar and Tali?  Don't tell me what they say if you do, I so totally have to try that if so.

"Erm, well, he's a GOOD geth.  It's like the Wizard of Oz, you know, Wicked Witches and Good Witches.  Glinda the Geth, that's Legion."

Let's just say you have to do it. At least once. It's very amusing.
