Some spells force sheathing weapons, working as intended?

Went through and made a list of spells that don't force you to sheath your melee weapons as an Arcane Warrior (well, any caster obviously, but don't see why they'd be using melee weapons.) Just wondering if almost half the spells forcing you to sheath weapons is a bug or working as intended.

I'd imagine that you might (as a caster) need to make certain gestures to properly channel the arcane... without a proper focus (staff) equipped you'd need both hands perhaps?

Unfortunately, it's no consistant. I could understand that arguement if it was consistant across the board, but there's lines, such as the Hex line in Entropy, 2 of them work with weapons, the other two force you to sheath the weapons, but they're all hexes. I understand the consistant ones such as Ice (none of the Ice spells work with weapons, the sustained one doesn't count for me) and Glyphs (all work with weapons). But then you have Fire, where Inferno works with weapons, but Fire Blast and Fireball don't, or the Hex line as I said.

I'm seeing a pattern to it... but not entirely so I don't know...

What exactly is the problem?

Some spells work with weapons out, while others force you to sheath them. The issue is that there is a lot of inconsistency as to which ones force you to sheath your weapons and which don't, so I'm wondering if it's a bug.
