Is she so in love with you that she feels she needs to distance herself?

She knows that she has to leave you after the battle...

If I don't give her the grimore, she does not try to break it off and continues to give my guy sex.
So, does it have something to do with whats in the grimore?
Does she have to not have sex for awhile for some reason?
or is it simply a trigger for her to basically tell you that she loves you...

Well, can't say I blame her for loving him.
He is strong, handsome, considerate with people, and ,compared to Alistair, a stone she can lean on.
There is a dialogue between Alistair and Wynne where Alistair says that he is worried that Morrigan will be a bad influence on my character and Wynne replies "you are looking at wrong, maybe he will be a good influence on her"
I believe my nice and dependable guy has rubbed off on her.

In a few playthroughs I have made of this epic conclusion, some spells seem to appear from nowhere, and either boost me, or save my Warden from some form of incoming harm. Now I am aware I most often have Wynne in my group, but she is often tied up with other tasks at the time. So in my minds eye, Morrigan is staying around a little while to just to insure her first real friend is OK.

In my own opinion - no real facts to back up this theory - Morrigan may not actually split during the Battle of Denerim. For some reason, I believe if you have a high Approval score, she is ever present and helps your Warden with the occasional spell.

I really like this thought.
I hope she loves me enough to watch over me.
I sure worked hard at getting to know her.
Once I broke through all the damage that Flemeth had done to Morrigan, I found a most interesting and loving person.

I always imagined that it was Morrigan watching over me.

Well that's... kind of romantic... I guess.Cynnita wrote...
I noticed at the post coronation (spelling?l) that there is a dog near my dog and Sten.
I always imagined that it was Morrigan watching over me.
Considering Morrigan's interaction with "Dog" I don't know if she would go that route per say

That could explain why Dog wasnt at the Coronation he saw Morrigan in Dog form and ran off with her

When you're a female warden, she becomes sincere and finally calls you a true friend and says even though there be times when she doesn't desvere it, she will always value their relationship. It makes me worried why she would think she doesn't deserve the friendship and what will happen between them.

Just a note: Morrigan will stop having sex with you (And try to break it off with you) as soon as her Approval reaches 90 (love). It has nothing to do with you giving her the Grimoire, as you can get her approval up that high without it, and likewise, you can give her the grimoire and not reach 90 approval and thus nothing in the relationship changes.Cynnita wrote...
odd thing tho.

Yep. I can confirm that. Also If you choose to bring her along for the archdemon battle she'll be right there with you in your party , just like always. In my own opinion - no real facts to back up this theory - Morrigan may not actually split during the Battle of Denerim. For some reason, I believe if you have a high Approval score, she is ever present and helps your Warden with the occasional spell.
She splits after the Arch demon is slain Of course this assumes you agreed to the Dark ritual.

I think its because she is worried about getting preggers too soon - otherwise the ritual won't work.
It really isn't about getting pregnant. She will continue to have regular sex with you as long as she doesn't reach "love", Giving her the grimoire will trigger her going to "love" if approval is high enough.
While she is just in "adore" she can persuade herself that she doesn't really care for you that much and is just having casual sex. Once she goes to "love" though, you got too close and she needs to keep distance from you.
For Morrigan sex is safe, but love is not.

Its a little tricky managing the numbers but the Grimoire doesn't have to be a cause and effect trigger.
