Okay so having played ME2 a few times, I'm not finding it to be particularly useful. Okay it slows down time...great...except that every time I use it I can't get a shot anyway.

Now Immunity from ME1 on the other hand - very useful. Plus it doesn't break the flow of the game.

Thoughts?

Maybe you should try shooting while it's active?

Heh. Why are using it when you can't take a shot?

It's kind of like taking a trip across the country in your car, but without gas.

Let me get this straight. You can hit people normally but when you use Adrenaline Rush you are unable to hit them or does your gun not fire?

I think Cloak is a useless ability too. Seriously, when I use it, I can't find anyone to shoot! They should replace it with something more useful, like Shredder Ammo.

Am I doing it right?

you also realize you can run at normal speed while it's active too while everything else is slow? So you can make those break out run for cover with out getting shot up. you can also go full auto on the revvy and have every single round hit a target's chest and head with out using bursts. Also gives you bonus damage and resistance.

What. Those are both some of the best abilities in the game, borderline OP imo.
The drone is crazy, distracts almost any enemy in the game, has virtually no reuse time, and at level4 you can make it explode when it dies. Awesome power IMO.

Adrenaline and that visor which improves head shots is a brilliant combo. I never used it in ME, but it has become my favourite tactic for my Soldier in ME2.

I didn't use it enough with my soldier. It is far from useless.

If you have barrier or fortification running when you invoke adrenaline rush, those powers are deactivated when you come out of adrenaline rush, and cannot be re-activated until it cools down, leaving you vulnerable.

Adrenaline rush can mean the difference of taking down the defences of four enemies before your shields go down, as opposed to two. Or killing two enemis as opposed to one.

Adrenaline rush is pretty amazing, you just have to set yourself up right to be able to get the maximum out of it, i.e. don't hit it while reloading. I advise trying it again but waiting for more opportune moments. Once you take down 2 or more enemies when normally you'd be picking away at their defenses or only killing one, you'll be sold.

lol, really? Immunity didn't break the pace of the game....?

It SHATTERED it in ME1. There was no pace, you could just stroll out in the open, spamming Immunity as you please and you would never die. It had no tangible effect on combat other than God Mode.

With AR, there is a tangible effect. You run faster, you cause more damage, and you slow down time to punch in those few good shots in the midst of a heated fire fight.

The only thing overpowered about AR is the 3 sec. cooldown. If they had made it more like the Cloaking Cooldown I think it would be better.

But really, the AR, depending upon how you evolve it, can be extremely useful. The Heightened AR gives you a 140% damage boost, despite the game NOT listing that in the Evolution screen. But in any case, it's true about that damage modifier. The stats were found by a PC gamer and updated to the Wiki.

Evolving the AR to heightened or hardened will make you either extremely deadly, or extremely damage resistant.

But in any case OP, I think I've seen you post this same thread before. Please keep in mind that the appropriate forum for this is the class Builds Forum

AR is amazing, cloak is pointless imo.

As soon as you uncloak the enemy is automatically aware of your new position even if you're hiding behind them.

Given that you have a personal radar scanner, is it surprising that your enemies have one too?

This exactly, Immunity completely ruined ME1.. After getting it maxed out on my Soldier I could just keep it up indefinately and never die.. Worst part was when playing on Insanity and the enemies could do the same.. yay to 10+ minute fights that should only last 1-2... :?

Also, @op hardened Adrenaline rush greatly increases your survivability, and it's better for fully automatic weapons (less slowdown= more shots fired)
