I was just wondering if it effects the likely hood of her or anyone else surviving the suicide mission, i killed Samara on my second play through and Morinth has completely different skills than Samara.
Did anyone kill Samara and get Morinth in their party?

Morinth will be instantly loyal and play the exact same role Samara plays during the suicide mission.
But to answer your question, I killed Samara for about thirty seconds so that I could unlock Morinth's Dominate ability. Then I reversed time and killed Morinth properly.

If you reloaded a save file, doesn't that discount what you did in another save?Pacifien wrote...

Yep - Darth Adrian Shepard, my Infiltrator. A Spacer/Ruthless 100% thoroughbred ultra-Renegade.
That was one of my funnier playthroughs.

Not when it comes to unlocking squadmate powers, apparently. I never finished a game with Morinth, but I had her Dominate ability available to me. Works that way with achievements as well -- if you were halfway toward getting the Brawler achievement and forced to reload, you don't lose the progress you've made toward getting the achievement.
I bet more Paragons would have kept Morinth in their party if you had to keep a squadmate alive through the suicide mission before their loyalty power unlocked for Shepard to use.

I killed them both in one of my 8 playthroughs so far, looking to see how it effects ME3

yep, Killed Samara in cold blood on my 3rd playthrough to get her daughter and dominate. both morinth an her power really turn the tides when you fight organics. Its just like AI hacking only for organics. Because of that power, I can almost say I like Morinth more than her mother and before you go *what the F*** are you thinking!* consider this:
As Samara explanes her daughter's condition, she speaks about it as if morinth wants nothing more in life to mate and kill her victoms. If you kill her for her daughter, morinth explanes that she wanted to have a social life among the galixy. Moving to reality for a moment, humans are extremely social creatures and branching out and meeting new people is a natural thing for us. There are many outliers to this (including myself) but more often than not, I can't think of anyone I have ever known other than myself being completely content living a life of near total self inflicted isolation from the outside world for the exeption of internet or any other forms of electronic communication. That is the option an Ardat-Yakshi is presented with upon the discovery of being one. Either complete and total isolation, or death and Morinth chose neither. Absolutly everyone else I know in my own life would have done the same thing if they were in that position and I'm sure a number of you reading with this would agree with me.

I've done it before. Ultimately I find Morinth to be a far more interesting and even "likable" character. My first playthrough though I saved Samara partly because I was roleplaying (I'm a little bit iffy on the renegade logic for saving Morinth) and also because the sound cut-out while they were arguing and surrounded by the biotic field. As such I had no idea what either one was saying. I was thus extremely surprised and confused when the game gave me an option.
Without having been able to hear what either one was saying I just went with Samara without taking the time to think about it.

Have done it before, but only on my 100% Renegade run.

Just did it on my second character. I actually like Morinth better than Samara. Morinth seems more emotional and human, while Samara is just Lawful Stupid.

Yep, killed Samara with 2 playthroughs (and saved her with 2 others). I actually prefer Morinth to Samara in many ways.

She is in my 'Women only' survive playthrough. Femshep, Miranda, Jack, Tali and Morinth
I've also got a Shep where I never recruited Samara and one where didn't do her loyalty quest and got her killed. So there is at least 2 other playthroughs besides the one where I recruited her where she is still alive going into ME3

I have playthroughs for Samara and Morinth each. One is good which is paragon and one is bad which is renegade (you can probably figure which character was saved and killed for each of those..

Not even on my most Renegade of playthroughs,..killing Samara is pure evil.

I honestly don't know if I will ever do it. It's considered a serious Renegade action. Besides, Morinth creeps the hell out of me - for some reason. Like, for real.

Killing Samara is pre-emptive defense for a Renegade. Samara's not exactly a kill-no-good person herself, so it's really a matter of how much trouble do you want after the Suicide Mission?

Morinth is awesome.
Unfortunately for her, Samara is even more awesome.

Yes, my Renegade killed Samara and parties with Morinth. "Hey, Morinth, before I put another bullet into this guy, did you want a snack or anything?"
Edit: Oh, and it makes no difference for the final mission. She's just as powerful as Samara and just as likely to survive.

That's the hardest Renegade decision to make. The Samara/Morinth choice feels like something leftover from KOTOR or JE but I guess if your Shepard is bad enough you and Samara will have problems before it's all said and done. Getting rid of her could ease your mind in that case.
Yes, I pick Morinth for my characters who are pure evil and for those who want to do her.
