Yah I said it, I may be less than one percent here but I want no romances for Mass Effect 3.  Dont tell me I dont have to have a romance, just play the game.  I want my shephard knowing that no one is checking him out.  Also why can't the other squadmates date each other why does there have to be a line for just shephard?

I"s there anyone that at least likes or is ok with this idea of no romances in Mass Effect 3?  The bottom line is that I dislike romancing, sometimes feels like cheating on real life g/f (not really)

that is all.  :D

Sorry, no. The romances are an integral part of roleplaying the character of Shepard, at least to me. They make him/her more human. If you don't like them, you don't need to play them. It's as simple as that.

I already came to that conclusion, I just explained why I disliked it and wondered if there were anyone else out there that felt the same.  Thanks for not reading the entire post.Posted Image

Yes indeedy Swirlypoos.

This is why I have 2 major ME3 save carries. One which stayed faithfull to Liara throughout ME2. And one which I have that never had a romance in either ME or ME2. I am with the OP on that it would be good to see some of the team members romance each other or be close friends. There has always been a lack of them talking to each other in Mass Effect.

I would like to see that too!  Luke Skywalker didnt have a romance option other than his sister.  Sam Fisher acts alone but still manages a good story line.  Im just saying...Posted Image

The thing with Sam Fisher is that he is in a game that lasts no longer than 8 hours or so. RPG's always feel that bit more better when you can hear your sqaud sharing some fine banter, especially when you have over 40 hours ahead of you.

well RPGs are big on the companions, my beef isnt with that.  Its the romancing of only Shephard on the ship.  The only outside relationship is EDI and Joker and they can't even DO it.  (or can they?)

Just put her chip in a robot body and away they go. Although syaing that she might snap Joker in the process.

theres a good chance that joker never got laid because of his illness and that makes me a little sad, why dont they just fix his damn legs!  they rebuilt shephard from a husk but they gave joker Polio Braces?  yayPosted Image

but thats just plain stupid without squad members it's like ''oh look we've got another game that looks like yet another FPS over the shoulder perspective, wow they never made one of those before."

I support inter-squad relationships for ME 3.

But not no romance for Shepard.

I did read it, and disagreed with the main content. Truth is, I do tend to get a little annoyed with people asking to remove an _optional_ feature of the game because they don't like it. Sorry if I came off as abrasive, it wasn't my intent.

However, I'm with you when it comes to NPCs having romances among themselves. I'd definitely be up for that, as long as it didn't mean that Shep couldn't have a romance too. I think it's especially important to have romance in ME3, because this time (hopefully) it would be a continuing romance from one of the earlier games, and I really hope BioWare will make the most of it. No more "initial attraction, some flirting, romance scene before the climax of the game" formula.

No I think NPC relationships should not involve Shepard in having a chance with the same female/male. I still want this to feel like a sci-fi game and not a crappy soap opera where people are cheating with each other.

For example you could have Jack having a thing for Zaeed, or Garrus warming to Samara as they both have an interest in swift justice with no one telling them what they can and cannot do.

^ What he said.

Mass Effect 1 and 2 are my favorite games ever. If there are no romances in ME3 (I don't care about new romances, just the old ones) that would be a very bad ending to this trilogy.

Really, you missed a lot if you ignore the romances.

Imagine that someone stayed faithful to Ashley throughout Mass Effect 1 and 2 and suddenly in ME3 she dies and the romance is over. These forums will be flooded with hate topics and Bioware will receive thousands of hatemails.
So I don't think it's an option ;) ME3 will have romances.

I wouldn't say you miss alot if you don't romance, but then again we have not seen what is to come in ME3.

I think a ME with more banter and interactions among squadmates would be awesome. But the romance thing is uh, like many others have said, optional.

I guess it's personal but I plan all my future Shepards based on romances. I want to prepare some ME2 imports for ME3, for example: (all Shepards are custom)

Male Shepard, romanced Ashley in ME1 and ME2
Female Shepard, romanced Liara in ME1 and ME2
Male Shepard, romanced no one in ME1 and Tali in ME2
Male Shepard, romanced no one in ME1 and Miranda in ME2

One of those characters will be evil but I'm not sure... maybe the female Shepard (I like all the other romances more with a Paragon Shep).
