If romances are optional, why would you HAVE to do them even if they are there?

No way OP. I'm gonna spawn dozens of baby frilly-headed smurfettes by end of ME3.

Sorry, OP. Not with you on this one. As hokey and unnecessary as the romances are, they're kind of fun and one of Bioware's claims to fame. It also makes the characters seem a lot more like real people, and adds to the almighty "immersion."

Although I, too, would much love to see more inter-squadmate interaction, perhaps even romance. It would please my inner shipper, and again add to character depth and player immersion.

But remember, OP: Thou Shalt Not B*tch About Optional Content.

All romances are optional. So if you don't want them, don't do them. I mean it's not rocket science.

Shouldn't ME3 be the culmination of the romances??

That's pretty much the only reason half the people play these games to begin with.

I'm in favor of romances that don't follow the "six conversations and an awkward bedroom scene" formula. Maybe more emphasis on friendship and trust than on ending up on the same bunk before the big fight?

Just wondering did you get that from DSPGaming? If so Posted Image, also I see no problem with there being new romances in ME3 as long as there done well.

I was checking to see if someone posted on my *more recent threads and found this to be amusing.  Posted Image

Im pretty certain almost a YEAR ago I posted this in jest...but the kernal of truth was that I just want people to interact with and develop deeper relationships in the game without it being a lovefest.  For example I really liked what they did with Aveline's character in DA2 (for that aspect)

I do agree on that with 'squadmates dating each other'. Just like in DA2

Actually I agree with that part! When I go in my den and play and my GF hears the sound of ME2 she shouts "You'd better not be flirting with that blue **** again!"
