At the end of the Wardens keep, you have a choice of either killing Avernus or allowing him to continue his experiments. If you kill him
you get a nice set of robes. I am wondering what the benifets are of
allowing him to continue his reasearch?
Can it fill the empty 2 blood magic slots?

No, it can't. There may be something else to at WK, judging from looking at the story section in different character profiles around the social site, but I never heard back from him.

Can you elaborate that part with character profiles?
I'd like to let him live if he is of any use, but if he is disconnected, then there is no purpose. Killing him doesn't even change Morrigan's status with me.
I've completed and saved the 3 ways:
- dealing with her and killing him, then her
- dealing with her and letting him go
- just killing both
Is closing the veil of any purpose actually?

I'd like the BUMP this topic.
You see, I finished this game by choosing to destroy that certain potion (thereby missing out on skills) and siding with Avernus. I trusted Bioware enough to think that I'd get my benefits later in the game, by being the good guy.
Yet, at far as I know you gain nothing at all by destroying the diabolical potion and letting Avernus continue his research.
Am I right?

Then I hereby think that the 2 DLC's (Shale and Warden's Keep) are shallow. Too bad. Too bad, indeed. I would've hoped that finally a developer came up with worthy DLCs.
Admit it.. Shale, too, is shallow compared to the other companions. I reached the point where Shale didn't have anything new to say anymore at the same place and moment where I woke him up! I spent about 5 or 10 minutes talking to the golem and it that was it! Reputation improvement didn't change that. Then I got to Orzammar, which added a tiny bit of extra content for Shale, but not.. by far.. as in depth as the other companions.
And well, as for Warden's Keep... you run through the keep, kill some demons, do a quest and done you are. No mentioning of the place anywhere by anyone and no reason to head back there either, since you find the Kryptonite material before you reach Warden's Keep for the first time...

Shale's not shallow at all, she has a personal quest like any other companion and about as much dialogue and party banter. In fact, in my first playthrough he was my second favourite NPC until I had to kill her during the Anvil quest (I advise you to take him along for that part, you learn a lot about her).
Obviously, I can't speak for WK since I don't have it. From what people say about it, I'm not really inclined to buy it either.

So. Wait. How is it an evil choice to drink an unknown concoction? If anything, it's rather naive.

It was highly unethical how the concoction was made. That's why.
Would you drink the blood of tortured babies if it'd give you extra power?

Well, considering that all the PCs have already drunk darkspwn blood for extra power, baby blood can't taste any worse than that...Theronyll Itholien wrote...

This game is not the same as other games. You take the high road and do the self-less thing... well you get your self-less result. If you chose to give something up... you literally lose it. Just like when you refuse being awarded for saving the Arcane Warrior Specialization giver - you don't get the Arcane Warrior Specialization.
I like it this way, it gives your choice gravity. Instead of being "Good" because it is just as materially rewarding as being evil, you are now making a sacrifice for being "good" and must be satisfied with moral gratification.

I was explaining to Haasth why drinking that concoction would be an evil choice
