I'm new to Mods, and not the brightest McNugget in the box apparently I have some (hopefully) easy questions:.

What do I need for a complete save? I'm at level 52 and I don't want to loose it. Only copy the 'charactor' folder should I have to reinstall the program; or an 'XML' file as well?
Also, I read that installing the DA patch prevented DAModder from working. True?
The Author's say to put these in the 'overrider' folder. I've created sub folders for each, and manualy put trhe Mod files in them; is this correct? (these are .DDS files, Cut, Cub, etc. for example) But when I start a new game; nuffin  is there on the game Menu.

Should the particular Mod show up on the Menu, or does it run in the background?

Do I 'Force' load?

Do I need to remove any original game files?

Can I only have 1 full campaign loaded for it to show up using DA Modder?

How would I uninstall DAModder itself?
Also, which version of DAModder, if any, for Windows 7, 64 bit?

Told ya! Google assumes I know more than I do. Posted Image
Thanx!

If you backup the My Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Characters\ folder you should be fine. After an uninstall and reinstall, just dump in back in there again. If you have a lot of characters and a lot of saves, you might first want to delete all but the most recent saves for each character to save some space. My Characters folder is currently 2.8GB, which is a tad excessive.

For Override mods, as long as the contents are in My Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override\ you'll be fine. You can (and should) put them in sub-folders to keep things organised. Multiple nested folders are no problem.

Override-based mods won't show up in the main menu. Only "Addins" do - i.e. mods that come as a DAZIP and require installation via DAUpdater or DAModder.

The current non-beta version of DAModder was still (last I checked) 2.1.2 - http://www.dragonage...file.php?id=286 It runs fine for me on Win 7 x64 with game patch 1.3. There was no installer for that version, so just delete the folder to "uninstall" it.

You only need to "force" loads when the game complains at you about loading a save that used mods that are no longer installed. For things like swords and armour this shouldn't pose any issues, but if you had custom locations installed and the save was made in said locations then you are going to have problems.
