When I pause the game using the power menu, I can not aim at an enemy: something I could do in ME1 and ME2 on the 360. What is up with that? It makes the power menu pointless since I have to be aiming at the correct enemy to begin with. For easier difficulties, it's not such a big deal. But when you are playing on insanity, it gets chaotic and you really need to stop and pick your targets.
The second issue is that there is no toggle for the power menu.... you know, like dragon age?
This seems very much like a lazy port. Bioware used to get 100% of my attention and my respect. But sadly, I must admit I am being very careful about their games in the future.
I assumed a lot of these problems would be addressed by now (not to mention the mouse acceleration issue) but after being overseas for 3 months, they are still unresolved.
This is a PC game... give us decent aim mechanics, an ability to toggle the pause screen so we aren't holding shift all day, and for the love of god, add the functionality that was in the first ME release and in the 360 version of ME2 (aiming while paused).
I'm not asking for a lot (like parallel developments maybe?).
Can't aim while paused. Also...

Alas, the rest of my rant is still valid!

I honestly dont mind holding the shift button, it isnt exactly hard. About patches, its EA that publishes them, so I am not too suprised.

I'm having the same problem. It worked yesterday, before I downloaded some new content (Zaeed, weapon and armour packs. Previously, during left-shift pause I was able to aim (and move my squad around, and shoot their powers at different enemies. I can't anymore. Aiming is frozen during left-shift pause. Are there any solutions besides re-installing with no add-ons?

You didn't rebind the aim key, did you?
