Personally, i thought the game was fantastic, and the expansion made it ever better (not to mention the great modding community) however, i'd like to know what the community woulod like to be added in if a Dragon Age 2 or another expansion comes out.

My personal ones would be:

1) Many more places and quests to go with said places
2) A baldurs gate/ Baldurs Gate 2/ Ice Wind Dales style skills/talents/attributes system to make it extremely in depth. Dragon age lackeda decent length skill/talent tree (although the skills were still great, they did get repetitive).
3) A five or six character 'squad' plus many more monsters to make the game much harder for said squad as a larger squad means more fighting power
4) Much more variety (as in larger bestiaries, with monsters having a large variety of weaknesses and strengths to make the gameplay even more dynamic)
5)Many, many, many more sets of armour and weapons, also with their very own strengths and weaknesses as that would make an item hog like me extremely happy.

I think Bioware could seriously improve on their communications to the public especially through the forums. It would be a full-time job for someone to dispell all of the mis-information that's being posted by frustrated players slogging through bugs.

PLEASE TELL THEM THAT A PATCH IS ON ITS WAY. You don't have to give any more details than that.

1) More dialogue.

2) If it equals more dialogue, less characters.

3) LESS BUGS!

4) Weather.

5) For now on, respecc should be in every sequel/prequel.

6) Camp should be a key feature of an DA game.

1) more explorable areas and side-quest completely disconnected from the main quest

2) a party of four members is too little for the rules system of DAO: if you need a rogue and a mage and your main character you had left only one choice for a character you simply like. Even only five members would be better.

sorry for the bad english

A (more) balanced combat system would go a long way to improving the game. Also, more fleshed out side quests, maybe entire areas on the map that are side quest specific.

1.) Ninjas

2.) Chocobos

3.) Banzai spirit

4.) A talking raccoon sidekick

5.) None of the above

I really think more exploration options would help. Bioware seems to hate a jump/climbing/swiming feature in their games but it could really be beneficial towards giving the players some variety in how they get to explore the gaming world. Bioware nailed the writing in DA:O with only a few picky issues popping up. These exploration featuers of course can't be patched into DA:O but my mentioning them is in reference to a sequel, which hopefully will come out!

I think they should also, as others have said, not patch their game unless they've playtested it pretty darn well. Patch 1.03 sucked. I would put it more politely if I could but I can't, sorry.

I'm pretty happy with the game as is but I would like to see more involved sub-quests and a greater visual variety in the weapons/armors. As is, there isn't much variation, except for some of the top-tier massive armors. Otherwise every one-hand swords looks like every other one-hand sword and every leather armor looks just like every other leather armor. They look good, just that they all look the same.

1.) More weapon variety

No polearms huh? No halbreds, pikes or spears? No that's cool I understand. I mean what kind of advantage could there be when having reach in a fight? I'll settle for bloodied baseball bat with rusty nails.

2.) Better looking light armor

I resorted to installing mods to meliorate my own sense of aesthetics. Petty? Indeed. But originally before the mods I loathed to bring along a rogue just so I didn't have to see them running around with their shoddy furbishing.

3.) Someone to replace Wynne

Morrigan was right about one thing. Wynne was too soft a touch for my hardened overcritical heart. The many chances when I can dispose of her were well warranted in my opinion. The idea of a den mother is not so much something I would like to see again. Rather I'd happily take Jowan over this woman.

4.) Puppies and Piñatas

Need I say more?

1) 6-player party. Come on, 4 is just too few for this type of game.

2) Better item variety. Needn't say more.

3) Better atmosphere and thus better technology. I think that Bioware might have invested in wrong technology for DAO, seeing how ME2 looks excellent. Top-notch technology that can render some good lights and smokes and such will help building better atmosphere for DA2, but I'm sure that the devs are already working on this.

*Oh yes I would go for a better variety of weapons/armours/clothes as in NWN2.
*Some shops that sell clothes items, boots, shoes, hats, dresses, for us lady players.
*Hmm oh more dialogues, yes please!
*A base with storage supplied, like a nice dressing table/wardrobe. (hehe)
*The option to easily change haircolour/style/make-up in game when I get fed up with my look.
*Change characters anywhere in maps.
*Always have pet(dog or cat) with you.
*Always a happy ending choice(maybe a wedding?)
*Side-quests are great, maybe a few more?
*I love the present and past stories and fighting systems so no complaints there!
*Ohhh maybe a dragon to ride on? Or a horse?

For me, the strongest part of DA:O was the amazing party members. In DA2, I hope they have an even bigger party of great, amazing characters for the party. A 12 member party would be nice.;)

BG2 character builds had less depth than DA. In the case of melee characters, far less. ToB 's HLA went a little ways towards improving this, though.

Huh? With the combination of multi-classing, items, weapons, and armor, you could really fine tune melee characters in the infinity engine games.

In DA, there's a lot less differentiation especially since the non-DLC items aren't nearly as unique as those found in the IE.

I don't see this at all. You can make a character more efficient in the IE games, but so can you in DA.. Neither game is particularly deep, but you have at least some options in DA involving which trees to prioritize. by the endgame DA becomes as shallow as the IE, of course, since you've got everything.

Edit: don't want to talk past you -- I'm specifically talking about the characters, not characters + items. I'll agree that DA isn't superior to the IE games if items are taken into account, though I still don't see any particular superiority for the IE. I always disliked this about AD&D, but if you play an obsolete PnP system the baggage comes with it.

*More dialogue options with companions, by the time I got the quest "rescue the queen" there was no more dialogue with your pals :(

*More "special armors and weapons" (Effort armor, blood dragon armor, keening blade, starfang, etc)

*A bigger party squad to battle, exploring, etc.

*Longer quests.

My list:

1) Romances that deeply tie themselves into the story.

2) More realistic reactions from people when a fight starts. I remember killing a guy in Tapsters in the Dwarf Commoner origin, and nobody even helped the poor guy. Felt so unrealistic.

3) More rogue/mage party members. Too many Warriors in Origins. Awakenings was more balanced.

4) Proper skill trees. I felt having only 4 skills in a tree, and 12 skills total for a weapon (16 with Awakening) didn't leave much room for customization.

5) Single sword talent tree. Hell, more variety in weapons in general. It would be cool to have an axe/blunt tree too.

6) More armor models. In origins there are 7. (Dwarven massive, heavy, human massive, medium, light, robe, Templar massive). 8 If you include Duncans armor. I felt that was too few.

7) Longer, more fleshed out side quests. I felt every quest in the game, aside from the main quest, was too short and not fleshed out. Granted, I noticed sidequests alone add 40 hours of gameplay in this game. That's a lot of short quests. Can't Bioware get rid of a few of those short ones and make longer ones?

8) Expansion of the Morrigan god-child dark ritual. Expansion of Gaxkang the Unbound. I found the concept of an immortal, unbound revenant hidden among human society was a cool concept, but it wasn't given enough thought. When Gaxkang told me that "eyes were on [me] from high places", I quivered in excitement, because I felt like I'd stumbled on something important. Then I killed him and it was over. Nothing important.

9) More origin stories. I would love to see Dalish Mage (keeper/apprentice), Apostate, Human Commoner, Orlesian, Antivan, Tevinter, etc. origin stories.

10) One idea that caught a degree of interest to me was Uldred's offer to have some demon lodged in me. Of course, the player character can't accept this deal, but what if we could? I'd love to have a character struggling with a demon inside me for control of my body. Great plot element.

Those are just my 2 cents.
