So would someone like to explain again why Irving would be holding on to Flemeth's Black Grimiore AND the Box for the Red Jenny Quest ...What is Irving hiding behind the facade of the slightly doddering old man?

I think they collect evil artifacts for study.

Though honestly Uldred was probably hording it all and plenty of other mages too.

Jowan had to learn Blood Magic from somewhere.

I've been the lonely rider of the Irving-is-evil bandwagon since release date.  There is just ...something about that man that sets my spider-sense tingling. I can't help but think he knows waaay more about what was going on in the tower then he let on.

he does have a book on Blood Magin in his study <_<
Why my Evil HN is going to kill him like the rest of the non-maleficarum in that tower

Something that did surprise me is that you never get to try Alistair's cooking, I want to see my GW get incapacitated from food poisoning

I like to think Poultrices are actually healing potions.

They just don't want to admit it.

Guys, don't call me an idiot for asking this but what does this line mean? I don't get it, it just seems random to me.

its also a response your PC can give in Lothering to Alistair's suggestion that you let her join you if you don't recruit Leliana in the Tavern and encounter her near the Lothering highway exit.
Basically you can say she's a little nuts.

And it's the reason she's the most awesome comanion in DA:O. <3

Because people think she's crazy for having visions?

Well, no, there's also her whimsical quirkiness.

When you ask Sten what was he doing in the cage he will say that he was sitting as you observed. But if you think about it you will remember that he was actually standing.

17. Howe actually BELIEVES that the Couslands are traitors because Fergus married an Orlesian woman.

Seriously, that's some major hatred there.

Fergus' wife was Antivan. Eamon married th Orlesian.

- Ser Perth in Redcliffe makes a point to ask you the proper title he should address you by, (particularly if you are a mage) and then when you bring him amulets he says bluntly that he disapproves of magery. (which seems rather impolite when speaking to a mage)

-Cailan is willing to suggest requesting Orlesian aid to Loghain at ostagar rather than bring Eamon's army in. (especially since Eamon's army would be closer and more acceptable to Loghain.) Though Loghain may have put a veto on that too since he knew Eamon was ill

- At Ostagar Loghain will say he recognizes you (HN origin) from the landsemeet (I think only with RtO installed) and then when you return to Denerim for the main game's landsmeet Loghain will not recognize you despite you being the younger child of the only other Teryn in Ferelden

- During the battle of ostagar, Duncan onl uses one sword, never dual wielding untill he runs tot make a stabladder out of the ogrre.

-Branka spent years in the deep roads, essentially alone with the darkspawn. How did she manage to eat? or not get eaten by darkspawn.

- during the battle of ostager, despite having broken rank in the melee, Cailan's Personal guard are nowhere to be seen. I'd think they'd be trying to stay close to him at all times, as is their duty. and isntead Duncan ends up being the only one close enough to assist him. (or kneel over the corpse as the case may be)

-Being glad the ogre never used the crushing attack it used onCailan on anyone else. Or that people who are grabbed don't start hacking at the arm or face of the ogre that grabbed them.

-Cailan has his men charge OUT of a bottleneck to engage a larger force... >.<

- Loghain being at all surprised that a HN would want to put a sword up Howe's sternum when they arrive in Denerim for the landsmeet

The letter from Eamon about how Cailan got pissed last time he suggested Anora be put aside and how he's bringing it up again seems to indicate he just didn't want Eamon there. And we don't know if he really wants to wait or if he just knows that it will shut Loghain up about reinforcements since he has Issues with Orlais.

It could just be that they were dead at the time and we know at least one of them ran. How many men did his presonal guard consist of?

Sten is actually quite funny at times, for example when talking to Alistair:

Ali: So what did you REALLY do in that Cage.

Sten: On good days, I would ask riddles to travelers, offering them treasures for the right answer.

Ali: Really?!

Sten: No.

What I don't understand is why Eamon would suggest putting Anora aside. Cailan had already been cheating on her, why didn't he just try to get another woman pregnant and pass it off as Anora's child? Heck, the kid would end up looking like him anyway (Maric's genes are apparently dominant.) And in the medieval days it was customary for women to shy from public when they are in a family way.

Of course, I don't think either of them can have children. Cailan because he never got his mistresses pregnant and Anora because I'm certain the throne not having an heir will be a part of DA2

It would take a lot of coordination for Anora to fake a pregnancy and to keep the real mother quiet. And we don't know if Eamon knew about the cheating (we only have Anora's word it even happened), Eamon didn't want another bastard like Alistair, and we don't know if Cailan got anyone else pregnant. Maybe he was the source of the potental fertility problems.

True, but like I said, I highly doubt he has any heirs. I don't think either are fertile.

But I think Anora would be willing to fake a pregnancy to secure her place on the throne. Probably the real mother would be the main problem.

Anora says something about it when you are attempting to get her to marry Alistair. I don't know if you get it if you aren't romancing him though.

A couple of theories.

-Branka spent years in the deep roads, essentially alone with the darkspawn. How did she manage to eat? or not get eaten by darkspawn.

I think Branka is like the father of Mass Effect 2's Jacob. When the rest of the group has died, there's a lot for a single person to feed on their supplies.

- Loghain being at all surprised that a HN would want to put a sword up Howe's sternum when they arrive in Denerim for the landsmeet

I think Loghain is, at that point, aware that he's now effectively going to have to fight the Warden politically. At this point, Eamon is a powerful backer for the Grey Warden and he can't just order him arrested. Eamon's soldiers will fight for the Grey Warden and probably so will a lot of other people.

I think Loghain's political position had to be utterly broken by that point to have Eamon flout the edict against the Wardens so utterly.

Here is something that bothered me, werewolf pelts. After you break the curse and swiftrunner's pack turned human, why do you still have the pelts in your inventory? At the most morbid you should have bloody human skin (try explaining THAT to a merchant) or nothing at all, the curse is gone.

I assume that dead Werewolves don't change into human skins.

But yes, I think it says a great deal about our gameplay mechanics that our Warden is a cold blooded enough bastard to just slaughter Werewolves and take the time to skin them TO SELL TO Elves and other merchants.  You're a cold bastard Warden.

23. If you talk to Loghain, you find that the Mac Tir Teryn is a piece of crap.  When did he get the Gwaren Teyrn?

24. Amusingly, if you realize Loghain spent all of his time away from home at Denerim then Anora becomes the classic model of the Daddy's girl desperate to impress an absentee father.

25. Is Anora actually Loghain's daughter?  I hate to ask but she's VERY VERY blond and he's VERY VERY dark.  Did no one question that or is she a bottle blond in the Middle Ages?

23. Gwaren isn't a great location, but it's symbolic as it's the first town Loghain and Maric liberated from the Orlesians.

24. My thoughts exactly.

25. If you speak to Eamon about her, he mentions she has a mother's looks and her father's mind (or something to that effect).

Blonde hair and blue eyes are recessive traits, so it is entirely possible for her parents to be brown eyed brunettes and still have a blue eyed blonde child....those genes can be passed down hidden for generations.

My daughter is blond and blue eyed and both my partner and I are brunette with green eyes, but then his family is dutch so that would definately be the dominant gene.

My favorite werewolf pelt bit was putting Danyla out of her misery... and then looting the corpse for a pelt to sell off for some silver. I imagine the Warden whips out the shank dagger to do the skinning. "That poor woman, she suffered so much. Guess she won't be needing this anymore."

Irving is the father of 40% of Fereldan Children.

The other 60% are from Teagan:whistle:
