With countless video walkthroughs and playthroughs, I settled for something similar but different. Make it into a "Cinematic Experience" where I only record the necessary parts to the storyline. I will of course do all the exploration and side quests, but non-critical ones like the Mech Factory quest line or Mercenary Bases quest lines, I will not bother recording because it's not critical to the main story.
All character recruitments and loyalty missions however, I will record.
Now I got a few parts posted, but some of the longer side-conversations are too interesting to pass up, so I made "Extra" videos which are not critical for those who wisth to only watch it for the story.
I skipped through most combat sequences as well, so no 15 mins shootouts or long walk to the next cutscene. Cut to the chase right away.

Description:
Mass Effect 2, by BioWare, published by Electronic Arts.
This will be a video collage of cutscenes and critical parts of the gameplay
to make it into a more "Cinematic" experience. It is not a walkthrough
nor a full playthrough. I will be doing both Paragon and Renegade
depending on the situation (Paragon mostly, but actions/responses
towards people I dislike, I will respond in a Renegade way) and all
Quick Action Responses regardless of it being Paragon or Renegade will
be activated... IF I don't forget it.
First few parts will be similar to other playthroughs, but as I progress, I will be
cutting more combat segments that are not critical parts to the game's story.
I will be doing all sidequests and exploration but they will not be
recorded.
I will also be using a few mods to enhance textures,
weapon damage *works both ways... I kill faster, but I also get killed
faster* and getting Legion early in the game. Many conversation options
are added to Legion that otherwise would be unheard of.
