i jsut got mass effect 2 and when i slect male or female an it goes to the loading screen it stops and doesent do anything else it stayes at the loading screen i know that its not because of my vid card it is good enough so i need to know any other way to fix this

Its simple the game had a game crash. A game crash is natural in many games that run a lot of extensive data and imagery at one time. Take Fallout 3 for example, it gets a game crash every 6 hours you play. Just turn off your console and turn it back on, it should work. Just don't overdo the system though.
