After installing the game I quickly noticed a great deal of recoil/bobbing/camera shake while firing weapons in ME2.
I found this "feature" to be highly nausiating. It made the game unplayable for me in fact.
After doing some searching, and finding nothing online, I decided to do some snooping around in the coalesced.ini file and found a way to reduce (and elliminate) this annoying effect.

The first thing you will need is the ME2 Coalesced Editor:
http://social.biowar...1854/#details

There are plenty of topics available here and elsewhere that tell you how to use the editor, so I will not go into all of that, but instead will jump right to the meat of what you need to change.

Once in the editor do a search for SFXGameContent_Inventory.SFXWeapon_ or SFXGameContent_Inventory.SFXHeavyWeapon_

In order to change the recoil simply find the weapon you want to change, hit the + to expand the list of attributes for that weapon, and look for the lines named Recoil and ZoomRecoil

Simply change the X= and Y= values to any number you want.

Setting them to zero (X=0,y=0) will completely dissable any camera shaking/recoil when you fire.
I personally prefer (X=0.1,y=0.1) as it makes the screen shake just enough to make things look cool, but comes no where close to inducing vomiting.

Please note that this WILL NOT change the weapons accuracy when using rapid fire. To do that would likely require changing the MinAimError, and MaxAimError settings... neither of which I have had time (or interest) in messing with.

Game on!

I sit about a foot away from a 24" widescreen monitor with a resolution of 1920x1200. With mouse smoothing and dampening disabled... so yes, I am serious.

I also own and operate real firearms, and know for a fact that firing a gun does not make your entire field of view shake like a seizure.

Thanks DaedalEVE for the useful quick link and info, they should of kept the recoil true to the first game, spastic recoil is ludicrous

Thanks for the useful tip. But can you help me edit the recoil of the DLC weapons?
