Ah, the helmet is on the hermit...DAMNIT! I got to the point where he ignores me...
As for the boots, you didn't mention a chantry for a location, can't remember which town, pray it isn't Lotherin, lol. Oh yeah, it's the town where you find Sten... Sorry =/

I got them from the cupboard of a Chantry, after asking for support in a discussion with a named templar. I remember going further down the hall and having the Revered Mother **** at me for releasing Sten, so I think so =/

Having scoured Lothering I can assure you the gloves are not there.
Cursek is trolling you, or to give him benefit of the doubt merely misremembering.

I think I also got the Elven boots from a locked chest behind the bookshelves in the Chantry at Lothering,or it might have been the locked Cabinet though (you get the key from Ser Bryant)
but I may be misremembering

Ser Bryant! There we go, that's the named templar.
Yeah I told folks you my memory was foggy but that it was definably in a chantry cupboard, so no finger pointing if it turns out not to be. Guess you didn't look as well as you thought you did?

The location seems to be random, I opened everything in Lothering and they were not there.

They are in the locked Chantry cupboard, they have been in 3 different games so far, they are static according to the toolset as well.

I've opened the chantry cupboard on two characters thus far and not seen them in there.
I wonder why some people see them and some do not? This may be a bug.
What versions are people playing on?

The PC is bugged universally. Anyone that has the boots is playing on the console. The boots currently do not exist in the PC version. The boots can be found in the Lothering Chantry in the console version.

The boots were NOT in Lothering on the PC version. That is a well known bug. If you have the console version they are in the locked cabinet in the back of the Chantry the Templar gives you the key to.
I would kinda like the boots though...is there a cheat code to summon them or something?

There is a mod in the projects section that works perfectly for adding them back into the PC version, even if you missed them in Lothering.

Yup even if Lothering is gone, the Mod, izmir refers to is good as it puts an item in your PC inventory that you use and it then puts the boots in there. Whereas I imagine for my characters where Lothering ain't gone yet, I'll be able to see the boots in their rightful place once they get to the village.

That is correct. Works for both. Even if you are standing in front of the cabinet, and then save and enable the DLC for the mod, the boots will appear.

Nope it isn't, as previously stated if you've gone past the point of lothering being lost, you get an item in your inventory that you can then get the boots for.
Unless you mean because as far as stats/level wise you have no use for them, in which case, yeah guess so hehe.
