I have had to reinstall windows due to a massive bug and lost all my DA:O game saves. I know some of the characters are on my profile. Is it possible to reclaim these off the BioWare server or are they lost forever ?

Hell, I'd be willing to use a different game save that's somewhat similar to mine.  I lost 60 hours of progress.  Can a fellow Dragon Age fan help me out please?

No, you're out of luck, your savegames stay on your hard drive. Only a couple of pics and a meager character sheet upload to this site. The savegame contains a lot more information than that....

I am sorry for your loss, but let this teach you the importance of back up on any thing that is worth saving... That is why I back up my chars on external HD ( or a flash stick)...

oh well I guess i will play through again then, it makes it easier as its a good RPG. I upload my ME1 and 2 savegames to a digital vault now so I dont have this problem anymore.

I have the same problem, or maybe a bit more... I had to reinstall the windows (I'm using Windows 7 ultimate x64). I made a copy of the DA folder in my Documents folder, so I have all my saved games. But: I have redeemed two codes (Blood Dragon Armor and The Stone Prisoner), because I got these with the game... Now, when I copied back my saved games, I can't continue playing, it says: I need to log in my BioWare account where I redeemed the codes. I've done it, but Blood Dragon Armor and The Stone Prisoner can't be validated, so my saved game won't load...

Another problem is that, in the game, in my profile page the screenshots don'ts show, only grey rectangles.

What should I do? I would like to continue playing...

Make sure the Blood Dragon armour and Stone Prisoner is downloaded and checked on the main menu for DLC.



As for screenshots I dont know.

Yes, it's downloaded and checket (and I have the same files after the reinstall). But I realised that, when I'm not logged in, I can play and I can use them... when I log in... I can't... and I checked my account and I have Blood Dragon Armor and The Stone Prisoner in my account. I don't know, what to do...

Anyway, I can play offline, but would better online...

Check firewalls it may not be letting the data through.

 I think not>...they are lost forever but u can view them here online. Same was the case with one of my frnd
though i also deleted my game with saves myself unaware of dlc's. Now iam going to play from the start !

Iam too but u should learn. Make sure to have a backup of ur saves of DA:O and DA:2 as well. I deleted them cos at that time i though they are of no use for DA:2<_<

And your point being ?
It shows that someone can use the search function, instead of being moaned at by people like you to use the search function.
