i am having problems downloading the 'free' download, using the code on the slip inside the box, but nothing happened and when I tried again, then it said that the code had already been used. Does anyone have a suggestion please?

as if anyone needed a hint on being patient... and as for helpful... guess what theis for? (the second poster posted on a thread that is the second of a double-posting, and the first already has a helpful answer - but noone apparently takes the time to read this)
Yawnnnnnnn...actually the ' ' was because i was happy that it had eventually started downloading, nothing more. Perhaps you were feeling guilty for not being a little bit more understanding, esp, as you might have seen that this was the first time I had posted in the forums and they are a little bit difficult to navigate around
Also, most sites actually show some sort of progress bar to let downloaders see that something is actually happening. That aside, I am glad it has now dowloaded and I can get back to the game and imagine a certain person is on the end of my sword
I am sure there are many helpful and understanding ppl in these forums though!!

Ignorance and lack of caring and/or gratitude will get you only so far in any community, troon. Even if this is your first general forum visit ever, you should know two general-knowledge/common-sense standards - 1) check the stickies (posts that stay at the top of a forum) to learn more about said forum...if the sticky doesn't contain information on the subject that your wanting to discuss or ask about, then it is likely the wrong forum and you should check elsewhere - 2) If your sure you're in the right forum, search the given forum (at the VERY LEAST, through the first page) for related topics that have already been discussed...like stardazzled said, the OP double-posted and I answered his incompetance to the best of my ability 10 days ago...and the topics still on the front page. But no, for whatever reason, wicNK decided to bump this double/cloned thread and you (troon) and jef are adding onto it as if it were even legitmate...I understand that you could possibly be a very new member and posting for your first time - though i likely won't check every person that I'm responding for such information - but as we're constantly directing people to the proper forums, you are the one who needs to understand that we're getting slightly tired and irriatated of having to do this almost daily and it seems simply only by the grace of our good-will that you-all are managing to find the answers you require...which should explain stardazzled's quick tongue, short temper, and sarcasm.
SO! To summarize, if you are having trouble with DLC, that is either a technical issue with the game (technical forums for the various consoles may be found near the bottom of each games forum base - PC tech support for DA:O) or, if it involves complications with the purchase related to Bioware/Microsoft points, then it would be discussed over here in the "points support forum" - now that doesn't mean go through the link and duplicate a post, it means go to the forum and search because there are certainly others just like you that have already been told how to fix their problems (speaking of, there is even a specific unofficial DLC-related FAQ within the tech support forum that stardazzled has very recently linked another confused person posting in this Store forum which may further explain her attitude...I won't link it just so that you can have some practice finding it...if you ever have DLC issues again). Also, when you buy DLC, it will show up here (left-side bar: Profile>Your registered game promotions)...if whatever you unlocked or bought is on that list, then you definitely own it for sure. If It's DA:O related, its only a matter of time for your game to realize that it needs to download something (might help if you actually have the game registered through your account). And note: patientce is a virtue in this case...it may take a while, but the game has its own little GUI for DLC and it will show a progress bar once it starts. If its ME2 related, then you should be able to download and install the DLC directly from that list. Lastly, and most pointedly - as stardazzled already said, this is the Bioware store support forum...which has very little (if anything) to do with DLC related to the games...please post in the correct forum in the future.

OK. I apologise for posting in the wrong forum. I saw the title of the posting by the original OP, which related to my issue at the time, so I had a look; but after looking for other related posts/forums and not seeing a relevant place to post
I posted a question and THOUGHT that I might get a helpful response to my issue, even if it had been one pointing me to a relevant posting and/or forum. I received an unhelpful/negative response to my genuiene post, which was unfortunate
Again, I am sorry if I used the wrong forum
