it's certainly possible after lothering + DLC, but not necessarily easy. The bounty hunters are really only hard because of the mage, although the gate encounter is genuinely kinda tough. things like paralyze help here.

You don't even need to fight them, just intimidate them into leaving.

Yes you can. You can intimidate or persuade them. You can also pay them.

Well the party made it through the Jarvia quest with only a single reload at the end - the battle was fairly tough but doable.

There have been several chests my PC could not open in spite of having 3 tiers of mechanical talents and cunning in the mid 20s (he is level 11 and can't take the final talent until level 12) but I suspect there was nothing exceptional in them anyway.

In the deep roads now after swapping Sten for Ohgen - doing the Aeducan area first for RP reasons and so far have not had any issues there - the party is doing pretty well over all - using Shale as tank (default defender tactics using Stoneheart line mostly) and Ohgren is getting good use from the Nug maul from RTO and Warden Commander armor. Morrigan can use the cold staff from RTO now and my PC is DW with the Edge and Duncans dagger.

Overall I'd say going to Orzammar early was not as difficult as I expected - altho I supect it would be MUCH more difficult right out of Lothering if we did not have the exp and goodies from WK, RTO and Shale DLCs under our belt...
