I've tried on and off for like 2 f--king weeks to get it to work for me, but no dice. I want to add a suit of armor and a pair of longswords to the game. I already know what I want all the stats to be and stuff like that, I just can't get them into the game.

anyone? maybe I'm being hasty, and should just wait a week so I can be on summer break from school, but this is reaching "punch a wall" levels of irritating.

EDIT: whatever, never mind. maybe I'll ask again in a few weeks when I have motivation again.

are these entirely new custom models or just some new items youve made in the toolset?

If the former:

Have you looked at http://social.biowar.../index/320619/1 (this does a few things the "hard way" since it was written a while ago before some tools were available)

or for simple static models http://bg2redux.stud.../TutorialModels (this was not written with items in mind and so does not talk about editing the variations files)

If the latter:

Have you remembered to export the resources of the items, any containers/merchants you have added them to and any areas you have added the containers to? This tutorial looks thorough, though I havent actually read it myself!

Also looks interesting (again not tried it):

only the swords are new models, the armor is already in the game and I just gave it my own stats. like I said, I've tried on and off for like 2 weeks trying to get this to work, I doubt I'll have a revelation now.
