When you didn't supply the ordinary diagnostics data, it prompted me to look up your member profile, and that prompts an additional question.  Have you been playing the game for the past three weeks in the PC version?  If so, what did you change immediately before the menu went away?

Basic Hardware Specification Chart (Empty so far)

Processor Manufacturer: AMD / Intel
Processor Name / Type: Athlon 64 / Pentium / C2D / dual core / quad, etc.
Processor Speed:  ?.? Ghz (or AMD Performance Number)
Operating System / Service Pack: WindowsXP with SP #?, Win7, Vista ? (Oh, no!)
System RAM: ? ? GBs (MBs, if less than 1024 ? )
Video (GPU) Manufacturer: ATI / Nvidia (only those two are supported, PERIOD, so answer which of them you have)
Video Card Model: (examples) Radeon HD 5670 / Geforce GT 240
Video Card Driver Version: Catalyst ?.? / Nforce ??.??
. . (use the numbers, not the word "latest")
Video Card onboard RAM: ? ? ? MBs
Sound Card Manufacturer:
Sound Card Model:

(And this is only for the raw hardware variations.  Potential software conflicts are far more likely to be game play problems, and developers cannot test for all possible program loads.)

Please use SR Labs ONLY to obtain a printout of components.  That's absolutely *ALL* it can be trustred for!

If you have been trying to use an extremely old computer with extremely obsolete components, there is a similar symptom that shows up with a particularly terrible Geforce video card generation, discussed in this article:

Empty Menu

If you replaced the working video card that you had been using that was working before, with something else, why was that information omitted?  Or perhaps you started with a console version and just now have started trying the PC version?

Sorry just very frustrated. not sure of systems specs but according to http://cyri.systemre...CYRI/intro.aspx, my computer should be able to run the ga,e. I am on Windows vista as well with a nvidia graphics card. Everything runs at the screen, i can move the cursor, i can hear the noise, i just can't see any menu options.

The System Requirements lab is practically a scam, the results there are all over the map, not at all close to being accurate -- essentially meaningless because of too many errors too often.

Open up dragon age launcher > configure> video

Make sure your resolution is correct...

Also you post the report if you want.

File> Save Report > save to desktop.

Open it up, and copy and paste it here.

EDIT: I disagree I believe systemrequirements lab is pretty reliable... but we would like to see your specs(they will included in that report if you post it)

I had the same problem. I fixed it by setting the language to English. It saves to en-us, but after doing it, menus appeared...
