I don't know if this is a glitch or just me unable to figure things out, but I have found no posts that are of use to me.

So I'm in the Fade, I talked to N-person (forget his name), go to the portal, kill the rage demon, talk to the mouse, and he gives me his form. However, try as I may I can't find any way to actually shapeshift into the mouse! I tried clicking on the hole, the mouse icon, looking for some sort of item in my inventory (just in case), and nothing happened. I tried reloading the game and doing it again, it's the same. And the mouse nor the helper screen gave no hint as to how I'm supposed to shapeshift.

Please help!

If you are unable to click on the mouse icon to the right and change shape, then you may have found a glitch. If you have a save from before, try getting it again, if it doesn't help, just post the steps you made before and we can try to reproduce the error in order to fix it!

Okay, restored from my last save point, which was after I killed fade-Duncan, before I went to the next place. Used fade pedestal. Talked to Niall, said "I'd be back." I tried clicking on the fade pedestal there, it says that something is preventing me from using it, so I head to the fade portal. Defeated the Rage Demon, and it went to the cutscene with the dying talking mouse, who then gives me the ability to become a mouse. The help screen at the bottom talks about shapeshifting, but doesn't mention how to do it. Clicked the mouse icon, nothing happens. Clicked the hole, nothing happens. Tried clicking the Lyrium Vein, my character says "I can't concentrate" or "I lost the spell". I tried walking up to the pillars on the right, nothing there. Therefore, I am stuck. This is the third time I have repeated killing the rage demon.

This problem has been posted several times with exact same problem can't click the pedestal before and so far I have seen no fix... of course... I have never seen a Bioware person hardly post here so good luck!

There are ways to skip the the fade if you wish too, I can help you with that. Takes mods and maybe through the debug in console also.

For console command way:

1.Enable Console.
Make a shortcut to your "daorigins.exe" file (typically located in C:\\\\Program Files \\Dragon Age\\\\bin_ship folder) on your desktop or Start Menu. Right click on shortcut, choose properties, then add the line in the *Target* field "-enabledeveloperconsole" (without the quotes) to the end of the shortcut and it should look something like:

"C:\\\\Program Files\\\\Dragon Age\\\\bin_ship\\\\daorigins.exe" -enabledeveloperconsole
Be sure that there is a single space between the last quotation mark and the -.

2.In Game
Start Game from your new shortcut.  Note this will skip you to the end of the fade/final fight passing all experiance/bonuses you can find there.

Load your save.

Then:

Type this you won't be able to read but jibberish will come up.  Hit without qoutes "~ runscript zz_cir_debug

Hit: Jump to area
Then: More until you reach "Sloth in Fade" near the end.

You can try more debuging things if you want but that will bypass all the dreams and goto final fight.

As for mods, you can search around in projects area, or dragon age orgins nexus (google it)

EDIT:ALSO YOU COULD TRY GIVE SHAPE FORM, THEN HIT MOUSE THAT MAY FIX AN ERROR.

I'm having a similar issue. Since installing patch 1.03, my radial menu to select shapeshifting form in the fade, and my armies in the final battle, will not respond. The menu is there, and the selected icon lights up when selected with the left mouse button, but no response. I completed the game before 1.03 was released and had no problem. I have reloaded old saved games and find the problem when it wasn't there before. A little help from Bioware please.

it's simple, DONT TOGGLE MINIMAP AS LONG AS THE SHAPESHIFTER PANEL IS ACTIVE.

I ended up taking the easy route and uninstalled Dragon Age:Origins, reloaded, and only used patch 1.02. It's good to have a working game again.

This worked for mine. I had to reinstall the 1.04 patch. Now I see a full stamina bar and am able to shapeshift to mouse form.
