After you wake up, proceed as usual until you reach the area where you have to get the Medi-gel off the wall and cure Wilson. Here is where you can begin the exploit. Once you cure Wilson and have cleared the blockage with Overload, your usual dialog will begin...Decide at this point which score you want to increase first and pick all of those dialog options. Renegade of course being in the lower right corner with the "You lied to me" choices...And Paragon being in the upper right with the "Ill never join Cerberus" choices. After the dialog is over, and have received your Paragon/Renegade points, take a couple steps back and save your game. Afterward, reload the game and then proceed toward the door where you just cleared the way and the dialog should initiate once again.
From here, repeat the steps from before and choose your paragon or renegade options and save again, then reload again etc. etc. ad nausium. If you spam the buttons, skipping the dialog fast enough, you can get roughly 300+ points per hour (you get 4 points every time you do it.) Admittedly, this is very time consuming but is at least "reliable" if you want to max out one or both of your scores early on in the game.
If you are curious as to where your score currently is, make sure you save before proceeding and then head onward to where you would normally speak with TIM for the first time. Then, open up your screen, check your score, then reload the game and continue getting points if you so desire. Again, very time consuming but reliable and allows you to use both Paragon and Renegade options whenever you feel you want to.
*Also note that this is primarily for those on consoles that dont feel like downloading a mod tool to their box and risking corrupting something. Because some of us, arent as computer literate as other people are. Anyway, just trying to be helpful. If you find it useful great, if not, that's great too.
