So he likes Fable II more than Dragon Age Origins, or at least only when comparing the Xbox360 version. This isn't the Fable II bashing or Dragon Age Origins worship thread after all.  You shouldn't expect everyone's opinion to fall in line with yours.

-I hate repetative scenery and repetativity in general.

it really depends on your gaming preference... if you've played KoToR and the zelda games.... KoToR is like dragon age and zelda is similar to fable II the choice is yours to make

I think we've got unanimity on this matter. So another opinion will be just pointless...
DAO is a mature Heroic fantasy game with dark themes and realistic issues like racism, addiction and prejudices

Fable 2 is a game in which you get a halo above your head when you're good and horns when you're evil...

Your best option is upgrading your PC, geting Dragon Age: Origins.

About the Fable part, play Fable: The Lost Chapters, finish it, throw it away, and forget that any other Fable exists , trust me Fable II is in no way better then Fable I.

I disagree, the only thing I liked about the first Fable was when I got drunk and fought a dragon. The rest of the game felt like a monotonous Zelda ripoff. At least Fable 2 tried to do things differently.

Fable II is a terrific, wonderful game with lots of personality, clever humor, and a great world to explore at your leisure.
Fable II has it's issues, namely a fairly weak, cliched storyline and a number of technical issues but overall it is a great game. A superior followup to it's predecessor and one of the Xbox360's best games.

how so?....added a dog, some new weapons, worse story...other than that nothing really new of note.  At least not to me anyways.

Something about the games quest structure was more appealing to me.  I also liked the rewrite of the rules regarding facial scarring or whatnot and the experience system (though it could be abused like no ones business).  The Dog I could care less about. 

Also the economic system was intriguing.  Remember Lionhead's lineage is in the God game route, Fable 2 seemed more of a transition back into those elements than Fable 1.

EDIT:  Before anyone gets the wrong idea, games are available on many platforms.  I can play what I believe is the best PC on 360, the best N64 game on WIi, the best Playstation game on 360 etc.

I guess.  It just seemed to me like they took the first Fable....added some gimmicky stuff and repackaged it with a worse story line.  I know I am hammering the story a lot but it was crap and the story to me is important. 

There were some changes like the economic structure and what not which was okay but by the time i finished the game I just felt like it wasn't that fun.  I mean...woo hoo I can change my clothes and fart but it gets stale fast.

In my opinion.

Most of that stuff was stupid I agree.  The thing is was that I didn't feel that the first Fable was that special either.  To each their own I guess.
