Anyone else have the bug (I hope it's a bug) where beards completely screw with all of your mouth and jaw sliders and then grey out the option to fix it? This is really frustrating <_<.

The stubbles are awesome and all, but sometimes they're just not enough.

yes, it's a known bug.

One option would be to do the mouth/jaw first and attend to the beards last, but not sure that would help. Also there is a very good chance that upon loading that character again in the CC, the face will be messed up.

Good to know it's a known bug and not just something a part of the engine.

But I did experiment with trying to fix it that way and I think I even managed to make him the way I wanted with the beard I wanted, but I don't know how I did it and like you said, it reset when I went to edit a few things. :(

The only way I know of to keep your facial settings with a beard is to only change the beard option once. However, seeing as to be able to get your mouth how you want it in the first place requires you to select no beard, you'll only be able to choose the beard right beside that option.

Ive posted this before thought you might like to know,

if you notice if you remove the beard and your character has gaunt cheeks the setting for all the slider settings for mouth and cheeks are in the center of the slider execept for cheek width and shallow/full which are to the far left, if you set shallow/full to the far right beards fit the face perfectly and looks exaxtly like the premade faces, it is probably a bug thats setting the slider for shallow/full to the far left instead of the far right.

so if you want to make a bearded character for the social site take off the beard put shallow/full to the far right then make your character how you want, then click on the place on the beard slider where the beard you want is then save or upload. Your upload will look normal but going to edit the character the bug pops up again.

Youre not supposed to edit the mouth as it and the cheeks/jaw are meant to be unchangeable from a set default, but the shallow/full default is on the wrong setting  in the character creator.

You're kidding? Don't adjust the mouth? That's usually the worst part- the lips get HUGE. Should I make the lips particularly big? Maybe those particular sliders go the opposite end of the other?

You probably don't notice the change in lips because of your dwarf's overbearing moustache :P

Hmm, I'll have to try this when I have some time to mess with the CC.

Thanks for the tip!

Yes i noticed Image IPB, yes you can adjust the mouth useing they way i said, but the reason adding a beard locks out mouth and cheeks is so you cant adjust the mouth and cheeks/jaw from the default settings(mainly intended to stop cliping issues) So once dragon age comes out if they fix this little loophole or dont unlock it you my be stuck with "big lips" althou they look like normal lips to me but maybe you just prefer smaller lips Image IPB

Oh, I'm late I see.

Actually, I think it's a considered feature.

From http://social.biowar...index.php/Morph

In order to make a physical beard model fit properly onto the face, some facial features must be set to their default values. This is so that, as an example, one doesn't wind up with the tip of the chin poking out through the end of the beard.

lol Guess it's just preference, but I tend to avoid lips that are too full on men.

Thanks again, I'll have to play with the CC tonight.

You were right- to a certain degree. After messing with it, I've found that if you want to make the face you want with the beard you want, put the beard on LAST. Do not see how it looks or just put it on, make sure you memorize which one and click exactly on it instead of scrolling through which ones. It takes some practice with the CC, but I think I figured it out.

Premade face:

Same face with a tweaked beard:

Its obviously a bug that I hope they can fix with a patch. I dont want my male characters beards to be floating over their jaws.
