ME3 needs better sex scenes.

The ME1 cutscenes wouldn't feel right for every character and I liked how they made each scene individual, unlike the ME1 ones which were very cut and paste, but I can see your point. At least they weren't like DA:O's scenes, as others have said (where'd Morrigan get that bra from anyway?).

The ME1 sex scene was the same for each, but it was so awesome it didn't matter. It should have been reused in each! The ME2 scenes were disappointing, but not quite as horrendous as the DA:O ones.

This. I liked ME1 better, I thought it had a better flow. I didn't even realize I was romancing some one until they started to flirt with me. In ME2 you can't talk to them with out obvious flirting, it's chopy and while they might have different dialogue they don't have much and it all follows the same set stages. The sex scene I liked for their uniqueness but my favorite part of ME1's was being able to talk to the LI after. It felt rushed cutting striaght into the illusive man espcially from some of the potentially more touching scenes.

Personally I would do without any of it if that would add more quality to the main story. This goes for any game not just ME. Maybe it is because so many people just have to have "sex" scenes in games now days but for the most part they are all done poorly. If you can't do it right then don't do it at all.

eta: I would leave the sex scene alone exactly as it was and be completely content as long as I could have specific post-romance dialogue with my LI, which not everyone got. That would have meant a lot more to me.

well getting this thread back on track i am somewhat torn between scenes in ME1 and 2. I love each character getting their own scene in ME2, which makes sense since everycharcter is so different, but the single scene in ME1 is just extremely good quality for a videogame.
I guess I'd have to say the only thing I was dissappointed in is the lack of dialogue before and after the scene. I mean one of my most memorable moments in ME1 was talking to Ashely in your cabin and having her recite poetry. And then there was the funny and touching after sex talk.
ME2 only gives you one line of dialogue and it is essentially, sleep with person or do not sleep with person. The scenes themselves in Me2 though I'd might have to say were better since they really captured each of the characters, from tali's shyness to Jack's emotional instability. Visually ME2 probably is better while the dialogue in ME1 is definately better.
Overall I enjoyed both and I just hope Bioware can find a good balance between the two.

Here's how it is. BioWare - like every single other game developer these days - is partnered with EA. EA are a bunch of rating ****s who will do anything to get that T rating for games that should be M. Because of this, and since BioWare really benefits from Papa EA's wallet, they will (begrudgingly) opt to remove controversial scenes that ultimately got the game banned in some places. So, blame EA for the utter lack of really intimate scenes in ME2 and don't expect a change for ME3. the bottom line is, EA gets what EA wants. I'm not hating them, but I do wish they'd stop monopolizing the market (seriously, think of one big seller that didn't have EA stamped on it somewhere).
As for my opinion, the only disappointing scene was Tali's because those nasty writers had the audacity to remove the mask and tease me with the back of her head then cut the scene. The others were satisfying enough, though, I suppose. I only did one FemShep playthrough, though, and she stayed loyal to Liara... yeah.
