What's the trigger for getting this epilogue card?

- If the Warden was of Mage Origin and did not side with Cullen, and gives the Tower automony, he endures festering mental scars from his experience in the Tower, this leads to an eventual mental breakdown during which he kills a number Mage Apprentices before fleeing.
Edit: format hates me.

And here I thought that it was a sign that the ladies had started to like being stalked, creepily.

If you want to make a lonely templar's dreams come true, how about Carroll. Or the guy who stands out by the pier after Broken Circle, praying for the souls of the dead. That guy looks like he could use some love. He fights with his bare hands, too.

And he is open for roleplay.

I know Gaider's said it himself that Cullen is a creepy stalker, and I'm not arguing that point. I'm just curious where one picks that up from. I mean, talking to him as a mage in the Tower (before the Broken Circle quest) he's noticed you, has a crush on you, yes, but he also didn't seem to be the leering stalker-esque type. Just... forbidden love crush.
Another mage says (in ambient conversation) that she's heard the Templars even watch the mages when they're bathing, but that could be a rumor and/or not apply to Cullen directly.
I'm just curious about what gave people the impression he was a stalker-- correct impression.
(Part of my not reading it that way was my own interpretation of the line "I've seen the way you look at me." I always thought it meant the look was a kind of... quiet, restrained longing. Not... leering?)

You see it more when you return to the Tower as a female mage.HarlequinDream wrote...

I was a little creeped out by his apparent plethora of fantasies that the Desire Demon brought to life. They just seemed a bit...intimate given that you might not even really know Cullen all that well. I know that if in real life I found out someone I saw often enough but didn't know very well (maybe a classmate or a coworker) had planned out our life together in detail it would definitely disturb me.I know Gaider's said it himself that Cullen is a creepy stalker, and I'm not arguing that point. Replaying the game for fanfic purposes, and I'm hoping it's not impossible to present Cullen as fairly sympathetic... until the Tower "falls." At which point my dear mage main character gets the hate from Cullen and sort of snaps.

Well, in the origin he's really shy and if you suggest going somewhere alone with him - to talk, of course - he runs away. It's kind of funny, actually. Until you meet him again and he's been tortured for days, he feels sorry for the mages and thinks the Templars are too hard on him. He really just comes off as a boy with an adorable crush on the PC. The 'planned out our lives together' part isn't revealed or even hinted at until the Broken Circle quest.HarlequinDream wrote...
I'll have to really pay attention/write down the dialogue in Broken Circle.

As a former naive boy, I'd go as far as bleeding adorable, I would have to say that planning out lives isn't that weird. Sometimes I miss my days of fantasizing about things that were PG friendly.

When he thinks that you're a trick by the Desire Demon to try and break him, he doesn't SOUND like he's talking about PG-fantasies. And he barely even knows you.Herr Uhl wrote...

It's also clear that given half a chance, he'd run a sword through you along with all the other mages.Sarah1281 wrote...

See, that's what I thought too. I mean, fantasies... aren't that uncommon. Whether they're intimate or life-plans.
Now, he's clearly lost it after the demon/blood mage torture, and all sympathy for him comes crashing down.
But I think sans-torture, he wouldn't have been... terrifying. (Afterwards, definitely is. I just wanted to be sure that it wasn't irrational to find no reason to dislike Cullen {especially from female mage who has been semi-flirting with him perspective} until after meeting him in the Tower when you return.)

Taking into consideration that he probably is a virgin and living in what is pretty much a boy club, he ought to have a good amount of "alone time" under his belt. Who should he think of then? There was no porn those days.
So the "planning life" thing was what I thought was the creepy part. Not imagining having sex with you.
