I already stated I got the satire but some of the points in the quoted comments rang true. I asked for a bit of help in understanding what she/he meant and got the stable rude treatement with an actual clarification coming 2 pages later.
Respect and dignity: It is nice to see how you treat someone that didn't board the joke train the sametime you did.

Dude, you walked from the porch into the yard without looking and stepped in a gigantic pile of dog****. Some people will laugh at you for stepping in doggy doo. Some won't.
Welcome to the interwebz...

Having a laugh about it is cool. Inferring I deserve less respect or dignitiy because of a mistake is over the line.

Dude, you messed up my quote to make it seem like I said something I didn't say. Didn't you just complain about that being done to you?

I didn't comment on 5 as that was clearly a joke.
Numbers 1-4, don't read as jokes. 1 and 3 are things people are talking about openly even in this thread not for the /lol.
Don't craft fictional quotes I didn't make.
Misinterpreting words is a mistake. I asked several times for you to clarify but it took 2 pages before you explained to me all the ideas were jokes.
Falsifying quotes is intentional.
I feel at this point it is appropriate to respond to you with all of the dignity and respect you deserve:
Good job being able to read subtext and get the general lighthearted feel of the OP in the first place. Oh, and you're totally -not- making an ass of yourself or anything, so don't worry!

Yeah not getting the joke kind of influences my responses. Missing the joke + comments = improper comments. I was not called out on it, I was lead down a path a ridicule and insults because I missed the fact all the points made were jokes.

I find those offensive as well. Your conclusion is really hard to grasp, how did you come to that?
The gif of the child is her dancing on her own free will; I am not ridiculing her because of her weight, mental disorder, or appearance nor am I treating her gif any differently because of her weight, mental disorder, or appearance. (That is if she has a mental disorder, she looks like a kid having fun to me.) Doing either still would amount to discrimination.
The context of the gif within your otherwise mocking signature implies otherwise.
That is all.

"Mass Effect 2 Official Campaign Quests and Storylines (Spoilers Warning) - This forum is for Mass Effect 2 fans to discuss the game's storyline and quests."fortunesque wrote...
I disagree with separating the character threads into a different forum. They fit under the category of the title of this particular forum, under the whole "storylines" thing.
"Mass Effect 2 Characters, classes and Builds (Spoilers allowed) - Share your stories, artwork, music, web sites or other creative works inspired by Mass Effect 2."
They actually fit under the category of the other forum, but it's basically become the gameplay discussion forum. If the forum descriptions were true to its word, any thread on this subforum containing fanmade art would either be moved to the other forum or locked for being off-topic.
Having separate threads dedicated solely to specific characters already engenders mob mentality. To illustrate this, just go into any support thread of "x" character and start talking about how terrible their character is in terms of storyline, combat ability, looks or how obsessive their fans are.Moving the character threads to a different forum would promote an "us and them" mentality that would serve to segregate the forums at large.
"Mass Effect 2 Official Campaign Quests and Storylines (Spoilers Warning)"It's an attitude that singles out character threads from this forum and says "characters are not a campaign, quest, or storyline; they are not as important as the other aspects of the game".
"Mass Effect 2 Characters, classes and Builds (Spoilers allowed)"
http://social.biowar...5/index/2302078And what would be on this new character thread forum? There would be maybe twelve threads. Separating these threads from the main spoilers forum would be a waste of time and space.

Moderators are allowed to have opinions - the most important quality would have to be consistency as well as experience. Those are traits I don't have on this forum, since I've only been here a few months compared to others who have frequented BioWare forums for years.Shavon wrote...
No offense, but isn't whoever is chosen to be a moderator the call of Priestly or Woo? So, no matter what is said in this thread, it doesn't matter. We can all vote for someone, but the decision ultimately lies in other hands. I don't know Ecael well enough, but from what I've seen, it should be someone more neutral, who is given the position of moderator.
Just my two cents
Javierabegazo's moderator status was well earned and well deserved. This thread is more of a parody of that, also serving to see how long it takes before this completely off-topic thread gets locked....
...Unless, of course, I'm going to be part of the Mass Effect 3 storyline.
