How about those that live up here in the Great White North?? From the Science Fiction Book Club's Website, they say only US Citizens can sign up...and as for Hastings....do they even exist up here?
Am I gonna be stuck trying to peddle a copy off Ebay for some crazy, over-inflated price?

WFT pear fits nicely, I think.
Tbh, the only thing that was awesome about the comic, was the cover to the first one (which, BW store, if you haven't already turned that into a poster, please do!!). I was hoping the comic would resolve so much more, but at the end, it left us with more questions . . . I know comics aren''t supposed to be literary masterpieces, but it wouold have been nice to know more behind the story. That is all.

@ Jamie, I will agree about Watchmen and V for Vendetta 100%, in fact, I almost mentioned that in my post! lol Yeah, I think they failed hard, and the big indicator is, that the reader has to spend so much time reading between the lines, and finding ways to reason out the plot gaps and inconsistencies.
I'm not saying I didn't enjoy the ME comic, or that I won't buy more in the future (because I will), I just think it's important to voice the problems with the comic that are so glaring. My two cents

Hello Mass Effect fans
As many of you are aware, there was a 4 part comic book series from Dark Horse comics set in the Mass Effect universe calleed Mass Effect Redemption. It was written by Mass Effect's lead writer Mac Walters with John Jackson Miller, covers by Alan Mandryk and drawn by artist Omar Francia . It is an awesome story that gives background to Liara T'Soni's character and what happened to her between Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2.
Lying makes baby Jesus cry Chris. This comic was awful and an insult to the character of Liara who acts out of character from the get go. The story is woeful. Every issue is the same - Liara goes after Shepard, something prevents her from getting Shepard. Liara goes after Shepard, something prevents her from getting Shepard. Lather, rinse, repeat. #4 twist: Liara goes after Shepard, something prevents her from get Shepard, Jar Jar Binks stumbles about, she get's Shepard.
The comic books fails to shows us how Liara changed from ME1 to ME2 because she has already changed into Asari Schwarzenegger at the start of the comic and is not the nerdish, akward Prothean expert that we know and love.
The motivations put forward for Liara acting the way she does in ME2 are atrocious. If you wanted us to feel like Feron was her friend and someone worth fighting for, perhaps you could have shown him being a friend to Liara throughout the series and not just a bumbling oaf who gets in her way. And Miranda's line "Do whatever you want to do" is an lazy writing at its worst and I know for damn certain Liara would NOT want to become what she has in ME2.
Ugh.
I don't think they cared either. At all. They made Liara's motivations in ME2 very murky and hard to understand. Heck... they even hid the explanation for her behavior behind a one-chance option on the dialogue wheel. Players were left scratching their heads, but we were promised that the comic would explain things.JackShepard wrote...

I don't think they tried. At all.

Now that all the copies of Redemption are out, can we get some news on the Liara DLC please? It's just that at the end of the comic it says 'concluded in ME2', and this story is clearly not concluded in ME2.
This is what worries me more than anything: that the DLC will make things worse instead of better. And seriously, at this point, why should we assume otherwise? Every comment out of Bioware since they shipped ME2 has been arrogant and self-congratulatory. They honestly think they did everything right. As Liara fans, we should all be bracing ourselves. The worst might be yet to come.Nozybidaj wrote...
On the other hand there is a very good chance we'll just get more of the same and they'll pretty much take any remaining virtues of the character and grind them into dust.
