What about EDI versus GLADoS for a future installment?

Tell you the truth the only Mega Man I truly liked was Mega Man Legends.  Maybe one of the Mega Man X games as well, and the remake Mega Man Powered up... disregard everything I've said I bet I liked a couple of the original games as well.

Now from the standpoint of a story-teller (by using only the background information of the games (lore as some of you call it)), Shepard is easily the winner. He has shields, designed to take bullets traveling faster and harder than any caliber of ammunition we have today. The only reason they feel mediocre is because the very system that they use to power those shields (mass effect) is used in weaponry - which make guns fire projectiles with force strong enough to pierce the shields. T-51B Armor? Please. It's still only armor. It won't last against armor piercing rounds.



From a gameplay standpoint? From the perspective of which character is more durable? Easily the lone wanderer. Who needs cool downs? I carry 200+ stimpacks (The fallout universe's version of Medi-Gel) all the time. Best part is, it doesn't need cool downs. If I find myself in a tight fix, i simply tap my hotkey bound to this health item and I'll find my health returning to max in no time. Durability is one of the LW's specialties (after all, survival is a skill you learn in a post-apocalyptic world right?). What's Shepard gonna do? I can't even stick my head out of cover for more than ten seconds on insanity! Shepard isn't successful b/c he's wildly talented. He simply has this chunk of cover in front of him 75% of the time.



What about companions/teammates? Who does Shepard have? The strongest on his team, is arguably Grunt. But what's he gonna do? Yell, "I AM KROGAN!" and charge at the LW? Come on! He's gonna be met with a face-full of plasma. Now... Fawkes on the other hand... Holy hell! You couldn't kill Fawkes if you tried (just search it up on youtube)! The LW simply has one of the most powerful video-game allies in history.



What about enemies? What does the LW fight? Oh that's right, just a bunch of mutated freaks and government thugs. Ooooooh how scary. What does Shepard fight? A fleet of ancient warships hell-bent on exterminating all space-faring species in the galaxy... Yeah... if I were surrounded by either Reapers or Super Mutants... I'd run over and give the nearest Super Mutant Behemoth a big hug...



Basically, what I'm trying to say is: Declaring a winner is difficult. Both characters are very badass. I state my qualifications on this information by saying that I currently have both F3 and ME2 installed on my comp as of now and alternate between the two regularly as I enjoy both games immensely. However, returning to the subject at hand, I feel that the real question isn't who is the better character... but how much ass they could kick if they teamed up...my answer? No amount of mutated freaks or government megalomaniacs is enough to stop this duo. Neither can the infamous trash-talking Harbinger!

Yes! thats always annoyed me

Bethesda needs to add romanceable characters to the Fallout and Elder Scrolls franchises. I remember someone did a very extensive mod for Morrowind which set up a romance subplot that allowed you to romance anyone.

Any of the LW's companions become unkillable death machines after level 20. Problem is keeping them alive to that point. Gender could play into this if the Black Widow or the male version perk was taken. An extra layer of deadly charm. However one thing Shep never has to deal with is his/her companions never block the door. I would think there would be better places to stand while I sleep.
