@Systemlord Baal: Oh, I like the "post the cover" thing, I'll imitate, hahaha

Started to read this again yesterday. A classic of Realism by Gustave Flaubert.

I'm always reading Wanderings by Chaim Potok-4000 yrs of history written by a master of language. Also Pablo Neruda's Residence on Earth ( defies all my attempts at adequate translation)-genius!

Recently I read A Game of Thones. A while before that I dived straight into A Clash of Kings and didn't get very far, but this will certainly put Kings into perspective when I go back to it. I don't like how the chapters are named after the characters rather than numbered; I like to know which chapter I'm on and for the most part I had no idea. Small criticism. Sadly I haven't seen the TV show yet; it's on Sky Atlantic here in the UK and I wouldn't watch Sky enough to justly the monthly cost. Shame it wasn't on the BBC really; they need something to replace The Tudors.

Currently reading The Kill Zone by Chris Ryan. Poor literacy skills (that could just be the editing; most of his other books seem better put together) and he swears more than is neccessary, even if all his protagonists are current/ex military types. Basically it's CoD generation reading, but I like him.

I'm reading the Warriors anthology, edited by George R.R. Martin. Specifically a story called "The King of Norway" by Celia Holland. Such a great description of a sea battle! Viking dragon ships going up against one another.

just started this one

It's about 2 con artists on a journey in post apocalyptic Russia.

Also, somehow I ended up reading Dead Reckoning, the 11th book in Charlaine Harris' Southern Vampire series before reading Dead in the Family, which is the 10th. I will try to read this before July 12 if I finish Dancing with Bears.

On the 12th of course I will pick up my copy of A Dance With Dragons

Good god! Begone, Faux Cyrillic, begone and trouble me no more.:crying::wizard:

On a more serious note, is it worth it? Is it a good book or just another “exotic” location post-apocalypse thingy?
