Just waiting for the next WoT book. Or the movie(Whenever that happens). Come on, Brandon Sanderson! If I die without seeing the last book in the damn series, I'm haunting you!

Dear god, good luck to you... That book is my nemesis. The one that got away, or rather the only book I've bought, started and never finished. One book to bind me in sleep...

Currently reading (and going to field the old asbestos suit for this one...) Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand.

Once it gets to the elven return to ME its pacing improves a lot. Did you get that far?

I only got like... 40-50 pages in, got damned sick of flipping back and forth to the maps and the encyclopedia-like index :-)

The beginning is quite hard, but once the conflict against Morgoth starts it improves a lot. As long as you like dark stories.

Maybe I'll give it another shot some day, it's really the only LOTR story to utterly fail to captivate me. Got a few sci-fi series to read first that I've had recommended due to my love of all things Alistair Reynolds and Peter F. Hamilton. I'm generally more of a sci-fi guy than a fantasy one. In fact, come to think of it, LOTR is the only fantasy series to ever really impress me.

Brave New World.

I had to read that in high school. I like the premise/genre but at the same time I disliked the book XD
Mostly because I HAD to read it as an assignment and I don't normally like a lot of books that I am forced to read.

I just finished Do Androids dream of Electric sheep by Phillip K. Dick (A sci-fi masterpiece) I'm now on IT by Stephen King (A horror masterpiece!). After I finish IT I plan to start reading the Nights dawn trilogy by Peter F. Hamilton, I've heard fantastic things about the trilogy and some of his other work, I plan to get into a number of his books if the Nights dawn trilogy is as good as people say.

I just finished Halo: First Strike, Its the story of what happened after halo. it leaves off with John and Cortana floating in space in the hope of finding survivors and they embark on a quest to find Reach and possibly any Spartan's left on it. its a good read for the price.

A song of Ice and Fire - A Feast for Crows.

And I'm going to buy the book Inheritance...apart of the Eragon books/Inheritance cycle.

And yes I realize there is a bit of criticism and hate for the series but I personally don't think its that bad, and I've been reading the books since I was in primary school so I don't want to just ditch it.

As for none fiction I'm finally getting around to reading The Blind Watchmaker (Richard Dawkins)
