And just finished it. I sort of liked it. The heroine/narrator is too perfect for my tastes, but the concept of the book is pretty cool.

I'm currently catching up on my Michael Connelly with the second volume of Bosch novels (The Last Coyote, Trunk Music, and Angels Flight). I recommend the entire series for anyone who likes mysteries/crime novels.
I've also picked up two iBooks by MoMA: Century of the Child, along with MoMA: Collection Highlights. It might be interesting for others who like contemporary/modern art (but they're specific to iBooks I believe).
As far as my sci-fi reading goes, I just picked up a Philip K. Dick novel that I haven't read before - The Man in the High Castle (Hugo Award-winning novel if I'm not mistaken). I also bought Spin by Robert Charles Wilson.
In non-fiction land, I finished We Are Anonymous by Parmy Olson semi-recently. It was an interesting look at the hackers involved in LulzSec & Anonymous, along with the cesspit otherwise known as 4chan.

Still on Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy. Gosh its been 10 months since I posted on this thread? Someone warned me not to read Mostly Harmless but I'm going to ignore that. 2 chapters in and its decent so far.
Hope you enjoy more than me then. It´s clear Adams was feeling really low when he wrote it.
If I can find it I'll start Icarus Effect Deus Ex Human Revolution book.
Where are you from? I got it through bookdepository, no shipping costs.

Just started An Officer's Duty by Jean Johnson.
I read a previous book in that series with a similar name. Enjoyable read.
Currently near the end of 'Wake of the Bloody Angel' by Alex Bledsoe. A hard boiled Detective story crossed with a Pirate tale set in a fantasy world. Some of my favorite literary things all in one book. So hard for me to pass up.

I refuse to read any vampire books or any 50 shades of grey gunk.

I'd like to read some Jack Vance but don't know where to start. Is his fantasy series any good? Lyonesse Chronicles, I think it's called?
He is very good. This might be a good start. That series isn't my favourite, but it's hard to beat the price.
Anything with Dying Earth in it is really good and should please both fans of fantasy and science fiction.

The last book I actually read was "Dragonships: Secret of the Dragon". I rarely ever get the time to sit and read, but I usually have an audiobook playing in my ears. Currently working my way through "A Song of Ice and Fire: A Dance With Dragons" and "The Elder Scrolls: The Infernal City". They help me get through work and give me inspiration while working on my art!
Is it any good?
Just finished Tarzan of the Apes, was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Currently reading The Blade Itself by Joe Abercrombie. So far so good.

I liked the ES novels. They're a quick and easy read, and fill in some of the gap between Oblivion and Skyrim.Nerevar-as wrote...
